She isn’t even the Speaker again but Nancy Pelosi is declaring war against President Trump. Rather than attempting to sound a bipartisan tone, “House Democrats’ first order of business in the new Congress will be targeting President Trump’s tax returns, setting the confrontational tone of the lower chamber.”

Democrats want “to get access to Trump’s tax records, with Rep. Lloyd Doggett, D-Texas, saying the request will be made as soon as Democrats officially take control of the House in January. ‘We need to give every major provision of this new tax law scrutiny that Republicans refused to provide last year,” he said. ‘I think it’s important for our oversight to get those tax returns.'”

Talk about wasting time. Democrats aren’t even trying to dress this up as policy-driven. Expect Democrats to howl that President Trump is hiding something when this bill dies in the Senate. The next step is to declare a need for yet another pointless, counterproductive investigation. If/when that investigation is initiated, expect Ancient Elijah Cummings to lead that witch hunt.

Republicans would be wise to highlight vulnerable Democrats’ participation in these investigations. The ads virtually write themselves. Imagine, too, if those Democrats vote for Ms. Pelosi for Speaker after promising not to vote for her.

The phrase being peddled by Democrats is that they “can walk and chew gum at the same time”, meaning that they can investigate President Trump and still pass (supposedly) popular legislation, too. I’m betting otherwise. I’m betting that they’ll spend tons of time investigating trivial things like President Trump’s tax returns while compromising little and notching little in the way of legislative accomplishments.

Frankly, I can’t picture Elijah Cummings, Jerry Nadler, Adam Schiff or Maxine Waters exercising much investigative restraint.

This article reminds me that hard-core leftists don’t hesitate in using intimidation and harassment to threaten conservatives.

During the campaign, leftist anarchists attacked 2 legislative candidates in Minnesota. I titled my post The party of hate. I’d hoped that this threatening behavior was confined to Minnesota, though I didn’t hold my breath on that considering how violent Antifa, Black Lives Matter and other Democrat-associated hate groups are.

This weekend, Fox News personality Kat Timpf was threatened by other Democrat-associated haters:

Fox News personality Kat Timpf revealed that she was felt so threatened by a woman angry at her for working at the cable news outlet that she left a restaurant to prevent an altercation from ensuing.

From there, things escalated:

But later, another women accosted Timpf when she found out she worked at Fox News. “This girl started going nuts on me, screaming at me to get out of the bar. I found her very threatening,” Timpf said.

She indicated that she tried to move to another part of the bar, but the woman followed her and continued screaming at her. Timpf said that the woman appeared intoxicated, and was surrounded by friends who laughed at her harassment. She said she was afraid the incident would escalate, so she left the bar. “It was super uncomfortable and I didn’t want things to get physical,” Timpf said.

The blame for this incident can be laid right at the feet of incoming Democrat Chairwoman Maxine Brown. Remember this?

It’s time to tell Democrats that Maxine Waters is unfit to be a member of Congress. People are getting intimidated by the Democrats’ anarchists. The Democrats’ anarchists need to be stopped ASAP before someone gets Scalised again.

In a script that can only be considered bizarre, 200 women wrote a letter to Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer criticizing them for not protecting Maxine Waters “from ‘unwarranted attacks from the Trump administration and others in the GOP.'”

The letter continued, saying “We write to share our profound indignation and deep disappointment over your recent failure to protect Congresswoman Waters from unwarranted attacks from the Trump Administration and others in the GOP,” the group of nearly 200 women wrote in a letter sent Tuesday. ‘That failure was further compounded by your decision to unfairly deride her as being ‘uncivil’ and ‘un-American.’ In doing so, we believe this mischaracterizes her call to action for peaceful democratic assembly and the exercise of her constitutional rights to free speech in support of defenseless immigrant children and their families.'”

This isn’t what Democrats need right now in their push to retake the majority in the House. The last thing they need is to be seen defending an outspoken critic of the Trump administration who has advocated for harassing members of President Trump’s cabinet.

The letter then said this:

“Disparaging or failing to support Congresswoman Waters is an affront to her and Black women across the country and telegraphs a message that the Democratic Party can ill afford: that it does not respect Black women’s leadership and political power and discounts the impact of Black women and millennial voters,” the women wrote.

Frankly, the Democrats are better off without her. Further, “failing to support Congresswoman Waters” isn’t an affront to black women across the nation. It’s common sense. Why would anyone defend the indefensible?
