Last Friday, the leader of the free world taught the Democrats a lesson in trolling while exposing Democrats as border security hypocrites. Last Friday, President Trump turned the tables on Nancy Pelosi, the Democrats’ presidential candidates and the messaging leaders of the House Democrat Conference, aka AOC, Rashida Tlaib and Ilhan Omar.
That moment hit when President Trump told reporters that he was considering giving sanctuary cities what they want. Specifically, he told reporters that he was considering shipping illegal immigrants to sanctuary cities when they were released or when CBP ran out of bed space for these illegal aliens.
That set off howls from Democrat hypocrites like Nancy Pelosi:
That’s rich. A woman who’s spent her entire life in San Francisco and Washington, DC, is telling people in Rust Belt states about American character. Right. Further, she’s insisting that elitist Democrats, not entrepreneurs, blue collar workers or the taxpayers whose property taxes keep going up thanks to the massive influx of illegal immigrants into their schools, know what’s best. Right.
Let these windbags deal with the crisis they’re at least partially responsible for. Their cities are going to hell in a handbasket. Homeless people (literally) litter their streets with drug needles and worse. Still, these elitist Democrats insist that they know what’s best for America. These elitist Democrats insist that they’re responsible for defining America’s values and priorities.
Mr. President, ship these illegal immigrants to San Fran Nan’s neighborhood and to Gavin Newsom’s new digs. Send some to AOC’s neighborhood, too. Then tell her constituents that she invited these illegal immigrants to NYC but chased Amazon from NYC.
Let’s face it. Democrats are trying their best to play a terrible hand that’s filled with even cards. (Cribbage players know what I’m talking about.) Cher gets it:
I Understand Helping struggling Immigrants, but MY CITY (Los Angeles) ISNT TAKING CARE OF ITS OWN.WHAT ABOUT THE 50,000+??Citizens WHO LIVE ON THE STREETS.PPL WHO LIVE BELOW POVERTY LINE,& HUNGRY? If My State Can’t Take Care of Its Own(Many Are VETS)How Can it Take Care Of More— Cher (@cher) April 14, 2019
Unfortunately, AOC and Pelosi don’t.
With the Democrats’ Resist Movement crumbling on a seemingly daily basis, little signals are starting to point to red wave in 2020. Salena Zito, the best retail political reporter in the business, wrote this article reporting of an election in Wisconsin that’s apparently not getting enough attention. In the article, Ms. Zito writes “Less than a month ago, conservative Judge Brian Hagedorn was a dead man walking. As he raced against liberal Judge Lisa Neubauer for a seat on the Wisconsin Supreme Court, the local press portrayed him as an anti-gay extremist and bigot. They called out the Christian school he founded for its code of conduct stipulating ‘no sex outside of marriage between a man and a woman.’ Never mind that this code of conduct is common practice at private religious schools across the country.”
How did that election turn out? Ms. Zito wrote:
Conservative activist Mary Magdalen Moser, a poll worker for the Republicans, sensed a turn in the tide. She was infuriated by the media’s treatment of Hagedorn, and she knew the populist coalition that put Trump in office would be electrified. “Wisconsinites have always been a very open bunch,” she told me. “As long as you stay out of our way, we let you do your own thing. People were incensed that Neubauer went after Hagedorn’s faith.” Against all odds, Hagedorn won the state, including two Democratic-leaning counties, Racine and Kenosha, just like Trump did in 2016. “Trump and Hagedorn won because they didn’t back down,” said Moser, a 56-year-old who lives in Kenosha. Though she grew up in a Democratic home and has never registered with either party, she calls the treatment of Hagedorn a tipping point.
Ms. Zito isn’t the only one noticing signs of a red wave building. Brandon Judd noticed it, too:
President Trump’s shrewd governance, along with unforced errors by the Democratic Party, has the president positioned to not only win the White House for a second term but also to win back the House and make gains in the Senate.
One of the mistakes that the Resist Movement made is saying no to any initiatives put forth by President Trump. People hate it when politicians are obstinate. This is a vulnerability that Republicans are preparing to exploit:
Anyone that thinks that illegal immigration plays in the Democrats’ favor is kidding themselves. It doesn’t. Picture this visual: while President Trump and Sen. Graham put centrist proposals on the table that would fix the crisis, Democrats say (and vote) no to everything. That’ll play as well as a fart in a quiet church. This isn’t the type of visual Democrats can afford to maintain.
If Pelosi’s Democrats in the House either shoot Sen. Graham’s proposal down or if they just don’t act on his initiative, they’ll get steamrollered in 2020. This isn’t just a federal issue. This unabated flood of refugees into our country also get shipped to other states besides border states. Wherever they show up, be it in Minnesota, Tennessee, Florida or elsewhere, these illegal immigrants put incredible pressure on school districts, clinics and hospitals. That means they put tremendous pressure on taxpayers and state governments.
If Democrats won’t work with Republicans to solve this illegal immigration crisis, they’ll soon be eligible to work in the next Democrat presidential administration. That won’t be until at least 2024.
If anyone has paid attention to the US House of Representatives this year, they’d know that the new Democrat majority has been a total clown-show. With immigration turning into a legitimate crisis, Nancy Pelosi has done her best to do nothing to fix this crisis.
Today on Outnumbered, airhead liberal radio talk show host Leslie Marshall gave a “shout-out to my Governor Gavin Newsom” for taking a trip to Guatemala to supposedly try and fix the problems in the Northern Triangle country. What a farce. We’ve (the US) been trying to fix various Central American nations seemingly forever. Bill Clinton once noted that doing the same thing over and over again while expecting a different result is the definition of insanity. (Personally, I’d argue that it’s the definition of stupidity but…)
I’d further argue that the Newsom trip is a distraction from House Democrats doing nothing to fix immigration. They’ve done nothing to fix the problem. In fact, Democrats pushed through a bill funding DHS that made things infinitely worse. The appropriations bill contained language that prevents ICE from deporting criminal aliens if they show up with a minor.
That’s a cute way for Democrats to say that they’re for increased border security while making the border less secure. What voters need to know is that we must change the laws. People coming from Central America currently can’t be sent home if they come in ‘family units’. It doesn’t mean that they actually have to be families. They just have to say that they’re families.
Next, we need the law to make no distinction from illegal aliens from Mexico or from Central America. If they cross US-Mexico border, DHS should have the authority to immediately deport them. Period.
Finally, people who care about securing the border need to grow a spine. Democrats will accuse us of being racists. Coming from people who hate the US as currently configured by our Constitution and our laws, I find that rather rich. It’s time to tell Democrats — emphatically — that they’re fired and that their time in the majority sucked.
Progressive judges in the 9th Circus don’t help, either:
It’s time to stop this insanity. If you care about the Constitutional United States, you’d better be working your ass off to defeat idiots like Angie Craig and Dean Phillips.
If anyone thinks that Democrats are fit to lead this nation, they’re either stupid or lying to themselves. Jeffrey Toobin is a perfect example of progressive stupidity. Check this out:
Toobin is right that Kirstjen Nielsen was put in an impossible situation but not because of President Trump. Secretary Nielsen was put in an impossible situation because obstructionist Democrats, aka Resistance Democrats, refuse to fix America’s broken immigration laws. George Soros has dumped tons of money into the Democrats’ campaigns coffers to push his open borders agenda.
Democrats don’t care about keeping people across the nation safe. If they did, they would’ve written and passed immigration laws that would’ve fixed the laws that are currently broken. (Think about the asylum law and the appropriations bill that’s funding the Department of Homeland Security this fiscal year.)
That appropriations bill is the heart of the Democrats’ open border agenda. ICE agents have reported that they aren’t able to deport 3-time DUI felons who entered the US with a minor. That’s already happened. What’s also happened is that criminal aliens with convictions for smuggling drugs can’t be deported if they enter with a child.
These things are in the appropriations bill that Democrats shoved down our throats. How can anyone read these things, then think that Democrats are fit to lead? Only an idiot would think that.
Let’s be perfectly clear about this. Republicans better get together and clean out the ‘moderate’ Democrats that got elected to the House in 2018. They’re the ones that’ve given us these horrible laws.
PS- How can you be a moderate while voting for bills that permit criminal aliens to stay in the US if they just bring a child with them? That’s the definition of an open borders activist.
Until recently, Democrats only pretended to care about border security. When Jeh Johnson emphatically stated that we had a crisis, the argument shifted — kinda. Sunday morning, Maria Bartiromo interviewed ‘moderate’ Democrat Elissa Slotkin:
Let’s be clear. Democrats haven’t proposed serious legislation that would stop the border crisis. We’ve heard Democrats say that they’re serious about border security. That’s BS. Democrats haven’t written, much less pass, legislation that would change US asylum laws or other immigration laws that essentially lead to open borders. This segment of Steve Hilton’s Next Revolution is must viewing for anyone that’s serious about stopping illegal immigration:
Pay special attention to what Thomas Homan and Sara Carter say about the laws that Democrats have passed since retaking the majority in the House. That’s proof beyond all doubt about the Democrats’ unseriousness on border security.
Here’s a prediction. The next likely action ICE will take is to round up illegal immigrants who’ve had their first asylum trial. When that happens, I predict that Democrats will call President Trump and all other Republicans heartless. Next, they’ll insist that ‘this isn’t who we are’ as Americans. That’s progressive spin. It’s exactly who we are as a nation. Democrats don’t believe in enforcing laws. Republicans do, though not enough of them. (Think Chamber of Commerce as Republicans who don’t believe in the rule of law if it means cheaper labor for them.)
Crisis: a dramatic emotional or circumstantial upheaval in a person’s life.
Saying that Democrats have too many drama queens is understatement. This afternoon, Judith Miller employed the Democrats’ favorite phrase while talking about President Trump’s declaration of a national emergency when she said this created a “constitutional crisis.” Judith Miller is a Pulitzer-prize-winning journalist so she should know the definition of the word crisis.
Honestly, Ms. Miller should know that a crisis only happens when there’s a life-or history-changing event. Even if the Supreme Court rules against President Trump’s declaration, it’s difficult to picture how their ruling changes the course of history.
My definition of a constitutional crisis is when the Supreme Court makes a ruling but the president refuses to obey the ruling. Pushing the envelope over a policy difference isn’t a constitutional crisis. That’s what I’d define as a constitutional question.
Democrats love throwing the constitutional crisis term around because it makes President Trump sound like a certifiable villain. When President Trump is re-elected, the American people will send the verdict that they’re tired of the Democrats’ drama queen antics.
PS- The Democrats’ other ‘drama queens are Mazie Hirono, Chuck Schumer, AOC and Speaker Pelosi.
After President Trump announced that he was declaring a national emergency, CNN and MSNBC went into full spin mode. Virtually immediately, we were told by pundits that most drugs came through ports of entry. Ditto with teenage girls that eventually get sold into child pornography, though they don’t talk much about that. The ‘pundit experts’ (I’m using that term very sarcastically) insist that the coyotes and cartels go through well-equipped ports of entry rather than through unprotected areas that aren’t fenced.
That’s insulting to our intelligence. Why should people think that these cartels and coyotes try smuggling drugs through well-protected ports of entry rather than through the porous parts of the border? Do these reporters think that the cartels want to get caught and their drugs confiscated?
These are the stories of some of the people whose lives have been forever changed by illegal aliens:
MaryAnn Mendoza tried meeting with Speaker Pelosi just a couple weeks ago. Pelosi’s staffer told Mrs. Mendoza that she wasn’t in the office. In fact, Ms. Pelosi consistently refuses to meet with Angel families. Suffice it to say that Ms. Pelosi is one of the coldest hearted bitches ever to serve in Congress. Even Jim Acosta met with Angel moms after yesterday’s presidential press conference:
The woman that Jim Acosta interviewed is Agnes Gibboney. I’ve interviewed her, too. She’s a legal immigrant who came here from Europe via South America. Acosta’s interview didn’t last long but at least he didn’t entirely avoid her like Ms. Pelosi always does.
What’s most aggravating is the fact that Ms. Pelosi totally ignores these Angel moms and that Democrats and their allies in the Agenda Media insist that there isn’t a crisis. (Yesterday, Ms. Pelosi called it a “challenge.”)
What I’m predicting is that President Trump will prevail. I’m basing that mostly off of this information:
Anyone that thinks that President Trump won’t get the wall built are either kidding themselves or they haven’t studied the tools at President Trump’s disposal. One guy who gets it is Bill O’Reilly. Check out this video and you’ll understand why I say this:
There’s a reason why President Trump doesn’t think they’ll reach a compromise. Actually, there’s multiple reasons why. The biggest reason in Ms. Pelosi. The next biggest reason are the Democrats negotiating on the conference committee. Any conference committee that’s got Dick Durbin, Pat Leahy, Nita Lowey and Barbara Lee (the only member in Congress to vote against the war right after 9/11) is far left and then some.
Apparently, Jim Clyburn didn’t get the memo:
I applaud the president’s reopening of the federal government and appreciate his recognition of the need for a “smart wall,” which I have defined as one that uses drones, scanners, and sensors to create a technological barrier too high to climb over, too wide to go around, and too deep to burrow under. Traditional walls are primitive and ineffective. They are expensive to build and to maintain. And throughout history—from the Wall of Jericho to the Great Wall of China to the Berlin Wall—they have ultimately failed to achieve their goals.
What a liar! The Berlin Wall kept Germans from experiencing freedom for almost 30 years. The wall in Israel has kept terrorists from killing Israelites for over a decade.
Further, if anyone thinks that smart walls stop caravans, then they’re either too stupid or too dishonest to serve in Congress.
Based on this op-ed, I’d argue that Clyburn’s statements to Chris Wallace this past Sunday were exceptionally slippery:
WALLACE: Yes, so, I just want to make sure bottom line, are you saying no negotiations until the president reopens the government, and are you saying, as Speaker Pelosi does, under no circumstances, no money — new money for the wall?
CLYBURN: No, I’m not saying that. I’m saying yes to the first part. To the second part, it seemed as if the president started talking about barriers in a statement yesterday. And as you realize, I have been talking about barriers for a long time. A smart wall will be a barrier. A smart wall would be using drones, using sensors, using X-ray equipment to be an effective wall.
Not just something that would be a monument to one’s existence, but to be a deterrent at the border and to be an effective barrier for people who are trying to come in illegally. And while we’re doing that
This indicates that President Trump will have to use the Emergency Powers Act to get his wall. It’s clear that Pelosi won’t spend a dime.
After reading this article, the obvious question is whether Nancy Pelosi will accept this offer or if she’ll simple ignore these women. I’m betting that she’ll ignore them, even if they appear in the First Lady’s box during the SOTU Address.
A group of women whose husbands work as Border Patrol officers are inviting Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) to come to McAllen, Texas, to see what’s taking place at the U.S.-Mexico border. “We would like to show you around!” Jill Demanski wrote in a Facebook post to Pelosi last Thursday, which marked the 34th day of the government shutdown. “You don’t need to bring any security detail. Our husbands/boyfriends/fiancés/wives/significant others are actually very good at their jobs, thank goodness! And since you see no threat here, I’m sure you can just make a quick flight down here alone.”
During the shutdown, I wrote President Trump with the suggestion that he include some of the Angel families in the FLOTUS box, as well as border patrol agents. I also suggested that President Trump blister Ms. Pelosi in the opening of his speech. With her sitting right behind him, its a golden opportunity to highlight the fact that she flew to Hawaii for Christmas while President Trump cancelled his Christmas plans. If he thinks that’s too harsh, he can dial it back a notch or 2.
Democrats might want to consider this:
The government shutdown is over — for now — but the political ramifications are still being sorted out. The media has been chortling that Donald Trump “caved,” and he may well have lost this battle with congressional Democrats. Their “victory,” such as it is, is to notify American voters that they are so opposed to a wall and a secure border that they were willing to keep the government shut down for four weeks to ensure it doesn’t happen.
Trump has thus exposed the Pelosi-Schumer Democrats as being hopelessly soft on illegal immigration. Some Democrats are starting to wonder whether they have dug their own political grave for 2020. This is why in recent days congressional Democrats are screaming from the rafters that they are for border security — just not the way Trump wants to do it.
The reality is far from this spin. At the start of the shutdown, the Pelosi crowd was saying that “there is no border crisis” and that “a wall is immoral.” But actions speak louder than words, and every response to illegal immigration over the past decade proves they don’t want it stopped. Democrats have instead openly encouraged illegal immigration.
There’s only one vote that matters on this or any other issue. That vote belongs to Nancy Pelosi. Democrats, including Chuck Schumer, don’t matter. That’s why I agree with President Trump that a deal won’t get reached. Pelosi is too dug in to let President Trump get credit for an important victory.
There’s no question that Nancy Pelosi is stubborn when it comes to building a physical wall on the US-Mexico border. That doesn’t mean there’s no chance of that wall crumbling. Steny Hoyer said that he isn’t opposed to having a strategically-placed wall:
Look, I think physical barriers are part of the solution… Look, I think it depends upon what a wall is used for whether its moral or immoral. If it’s protecting people, it’s moral. If it’s imprisoning people, it may well be immoral. But that’s not the issue. The issue is, we want border security. We want to make sure that people who come into the United States of America are authorized to do so, and we know that they have come in. We don’t want contraband. We don’t want drugs coming in. We don’t want dangerous people coming into the country. So, we’re for border security, and I think we can get there.
Bennie Thompson, the chair of the House Homeland Security Committee, said that Democrats aren’t ruling out walls or physical barriers.
The bottom line is that Pelosi’s Democrat opposition to the wall appears to be crumbling. She can’t stay belligerent while other Democrats modify their positions. Remember that she wasn’t that popular. I suspect that she still isn’t that popular.
