To hear “Al Otro Lado, a binational advocacy group that provides legal assistance to migrants seeking asylum” talk about yesterday’s incident at the border, women and children refugees “were peacefully demonstrating in Mexico” when they were “injured by tear gas launched by US authorities.” To read this article, though, you’d get a different picture.

According to the article, “some have organized protests to pressure U.S. officials to devote more resources to speed up the process. On Sunday, one of those protests, peaceful at first, turned chaotic when several hundred migrants broke away, overwhelming Mexican federal police officers before rushing a border fence and attempting to illegally enter the U.S. In response, U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers shut down both south and northbound traffic at the San Ysidro border crossing south of San Diego for nearly six hours.”

If you read Daniel Chaitin’s article, you get the real story:

The Mexican government announced Sunday evening that it will deport nearly 500 migrants who rushed the U.S. border between Tijuana and San Diego, Calif. In a statement, Mexico’s interior department said these migrants were captured with the help of local authorities of the government from the state of Baja California and will be deported after attempting to cross the border “violently” and “illegally.”

Here’s the important information:

Videos and photos of the migrants, including children, crossing a footbridge over a canal in Tijuana as they headed to the border were posted to social media. The incident prompted both the U.S. and Mexico to shut down the port of entry on their respective sides.

It’s obvious that Al Otro Lado isn’t telling the truth.

Just when I didn’t think Democrats couldn’t get nuttier, they prove me wrong. This time, Sen. Kamala Harris, (D-Calif.), showed her nuts-beyond-belief credentials while questioning Ronald D. Vitiello, who is President Trump’s nominee to become the permanent ICE director.

Here’s the exchange between Sen. Harris and Director Vitiello:

Minutes later Ms. Harris, a California Democrat who’s eyeing a 2020 presidential bid, said there are “many” people who perceive ICE officers as similar to KKK thugs in using violence and intimidation. “I’m very specific about what I’m asking,” she said. “Are you aware that there’s a perception that ICE is administering its power in a way that is causing fear and intimidation particularly among immigrants and specifically among immigrants coming from Mexico and Central America?”

“I see no perception that puts ICE in the same category as the KKK,” Mr. Vitiello retorted.

What type of grandstanding jackass thinks that ICE and the KKK are perceived the same way? This isn’t a serious interrogation because ICE is nothing like the KKK. First, the KKK tried striking fear in the hearts of minorities because they wanted the US to stay segregated. Next, the KKK hated the people that they intimidated. They thought that African-Americans were subhuman, which gave the KKK permission to torment them. Finally, the KKK intimidated African-Americans while breaking the law and while hiding their identities.

ICE enforces the law. They don’t hate illegal aliens and they certainly don’t hide their identities. Other than that, they’re nothing like the KKK.

Sen. Harris is disgusting. She’s grandstanding and she knows it. She’s trying to stand out from the other nobodies running for the Democrat presidential nomination.

In this article, Keith Ellison, the DFL’s disgraced candidate for Minnesota’s Attorney General’s office, is quoted as saying “I value and honor all members of law enforcement and am grateful for the work they do every single day.”

With all due respect to Rep. Ellison, that’s a pile of BS. This letter supports #BlackLivesMatter, not law enforcement:

In the letter to the Bloomington City Attorney, Ellison is quoted as saying “I am writing in response to reports that you are considering issuing charges against the organizers of the Black Lives Matters protest at the Mall of America on Saturday, December 20.”

He then adds this:

I request that you reconsider using your prosecutorial discretion to issue such charges. The purpose of the protest was to draw attention to concerns about police-community relations in light of the deaths of Eric Garner, Michael Brown and others in confrontations with police.

Ellison finished his letter by saying this:

The demonstrations didn’t damage property and protesters remained peaceful the throughout the demonstration. Many Minnesotans were inconvenienced during the holiday shopping season and I understand their frustration. Nonetheless, I encourage you and city leaders to consider the broader context of what the protest represented…

Does that sound like a letter who “values and honors all members of law enforcement”? It sounds more like something that a Black Lives Matter activist might say.

Keith Ellison isn’t hiding the fact that he won’t uphold laws he doesn’t like. That’s what he’s saying in this video:

Ellison said “If the state legislature passes laws that don’t make sense, but are constitutional, then I’m going to have to cross that bridge when I get to it.” That statement is what I’d expect from a narcissist who thinks he’s the ultimate decider of which laws get enforced and which once won’t. Ellison isn’t arguing for the principle of prosecutorial discretion. He didn’t mention a lack of resources.

Specifically, Ellison talked about laws “that don’t make sense” but that are constitutional. Who gives him the authority to determine which laws makes sense? I’m certain that Minnesota’s Constitution doesn’t. What are Ellison’s criteria for judging which laws make sense?

Apparently, being Minnesota’s chief law enforcement officer doesn’t interest Ellison, either:

Apparently, Ellison thinks that the Minnesota Attorney General’s office should be used to thwart President Trump’s agenda or advance the Democrats’ agenda. What else did he mean when he said “Some of my opponents have been trying to argue that I’m going to sort of leave the federal Congress to come back to Minnesota to try to use the state Attorney General’s Office as some sort of political platform. And the truth is I do plan on doing some national litigation.”

If Democrats want to sue President Trump, then let them raise the money and open their own law firm. Minnesota’s taxpayers shouldn’t pay the price for Keith Ellison’s or the Democrats’ activism.

The choice couldn’t be clearer. A vote for Keith Ellison is a vote for advancing the Democrats’ agenda of obstructing President Trump by any means necessary. A vote for Doug Wardlow is a vote to restore law and order in Minnesota.

The good news is that law enforcement got their man. It’s been confirmed that “A male suspect was arrested in Florida on Friday morning in connection with the rash of suspicious packages sent to prominent Democrats nationwide, law enforcement sources confirmed to Fox News. A law enforcement source told Fox News that the suspect is a white male in his 50s, a former New Yorker, who lives in Aventura, Florida, who had prior arrests for terroristic threats. Several of the packages went through a U.S. postal facility in Opa-locka, which is less than 10 miles from Aventura.”

From the start, law enforcement was confident they’d get their man. Their confidence was apparently justified.

The Miami-Dade County Police Department confirmed Thursday it was helping federal agents who were at the facility in Opa-locka as part of the ongoing investigation. The USPS operates an innovative imaging system that photographs each piece of mail processed throughout the country. Investigators were likely relying on that system to pinpoint where some of the packages were mailed.

Another key part of their quick apprehension of the alleged criminal was the forensic material they recovered:

A government source told Fox News the FBI was analyzing the stamps in Quantico. The source also said the investigation had progressed “significantly” and that the FBI was reaching out to retailers to zero in on where the elements of the bombs were made and where they were sold.

The envelopes and packaging materials likely contained a treasure trove of DNA information. Tiny bits of genetic material, traces of sweat, skin cells, saliva, hair or fingerprints, are typically used as a roadmap to the suspect’s door, investigators and bomb experts say.

From the start, this was a matter of when, not if, they’d catch the perpetrator.

After reading this article by Stephanie Dickrell, there’s no doubting whether Doug Wardlow has a positive, pro-Minnesota agenda in mind when he’s elected to replace Lori Swanson as Minnesota’s Attorney General. (Yes, I’m predicting that he’ll defeat Keith Ellison, ending Ellison’s political career.)

Whereas Ellison has made it clear his office would essentially be used to sue the Trump administration, Wardlow has a dramatically different vision for the office. Wardlow “said he would focus resources on combating welfare fraud, rebuilding the office’s criminal law division and becoming a leader in stopping human trafficking.”

Dickrell reports that one “place the two candidates differ greatly is on immigration. Wardlow said he opposes sanctuary cities. ‘As attorney general, I’m going to do everything I can to persuade cities to cooperate with federal authorities, and make clear that federal immigration authorities are welcome in Minnesota,’ he said.”

Last night, I wrote a post titled The Walz-Ellison Ticket. In it, I wrote that Walz is proud to tell voters that he wants to make Minnesota a sanctuary state. Ellison isn’t quite as bold but he’s definitely interested in promoting illegal immigration. If you want higher crime rates across Minnesota, vote for Ellison and Walz. If you prefer sanity and lower crime rates, you’d better vote for Doug Wardlow and Jeff Johnson. This ad is accurate. I know because I’ve written about each of the allegations.

It’s time to end Keith Ellison’s political career. He’s an extremist in the worst way.

Elect Doug Wardlow. He’s the only candidate in this race with a positive, pro-law enforcement agenda.

After reading Doug Wardlow’s op-ed, which was published by the Duluth News Tribune, it’s becoming crystal clear that Doug Wardlow would make an outstanding attorney general. It’s equally clear that Keith Ellison isn’t interested in protecting Minnesotans.

In his op-ed, Wardlow highlights his priorities, saying “Meanwhile, even though the attorney general is Minnesota’s chief law enforcement officer, the criminal law division within the office has been ignored and downsized. But Minnesota has statewide problems that need to be tackled, like the terrible sex trafficking that occurs in our state and the opioid epidemic.”

Mike Hatch and Lori Swanson loved paying attention to high profile lawsuits but they didn’t do a good job with crime. It’s apparent that stopping crime and beefing up the criminal division within the OAG will be Wardlow’s highest priority.

Playing politics means fewer resources for law and order and has disastrous results. For example, we know the number of children being trafficked is astronomically high. According to a study, each month in Minnesota, hundreds of children, usually young girls, are trafficked multiple times a day. But the arrests of the human-traffickers behind this great evil are far too low, and the number of convictions of these criminals is even lower.

That’s because county attorneys, on the front lines with local law enforcement, are starved of resources. When it comes to statewide criminal enterprises, our county attorneys need coordination, assistance, and leadership from the state attorney general. That’s why, on day one, I will start rebuilding the office’s criminal law division.

Let’s stop this horrific crime against young girls. It’s long past time to permanently shut this type of crime down.

That won’t be a priority with Keith Ellison. Ellison’s already promised to file lawsuit after lawsuit against President Trump. Stopping sex trafficking isn’t on Ellison’s list of priorities.

It’s time to elect an AG whose priorities include stopping sex trafficking and opioid abuse.

Further, it’s time to reject a politician who can’t control himself:

Keith Ellison’s multiple character flaws are proof that he isn’t fit to be Minnesota’s top law enforcement officer. This weekend, William Davis, his top attack dog, gave us another reason to reject Ellison and end Ellison’s political career.

This weekend, Davis left a nasty reply to this Facebook post:

What a disgusting directive. What’s amazing is that Davis still has a job as I write this article. If a Republican had written this, the MSM would’ve been all over this like white on rice.

Because it was written by a Democrat mobster, the only sound we’ll hear is that of crickets. Like one of my frequent commenters often reminds us, if the Democrats didn’t have double standards, they wouldn’t have any standards. Well put.

The difference between Ellison and Doug Wardlow is starting to show itself. In the next post, I’ll explain why Doug Wardlow needs to be our next AG.

It’s understatement to say that Keith Ellison has chutzpah to spare. This week, Ellison criticized Doug Wardlow for being a mouthpiece for special interest groups while speaking at the Minnesota AFL-CIO headquarters.

While at the AFL-CIO headquarters, Ellison said “The special interests already have high-powered lawyers on their side. They don’t need another one in the Minnesota Attorney General’s Office.”

To his credit, Wardlow hit back hard, saying “Keith Ellison, he wants to talk about anything other than the domestic abuse allegations against him.” With the judge just unsealing Ellison’s divorce records this past Thursday, rest assured that this wasn’t Ellison’s best week in politics ever.

Then again, Ellison hasn’t had many good weeks lately. He certainly didn’t have a great week when Karen Monahan accused him of sexual assault. Ellison definitely didn’t have a great week when various bloggers highlighted the fact that Ellison has frequently supported cop-killers.

Ellison not only supports special interest organizations. He couldn’t thrive without their support.

In the past, Ellison was a politician in the minority, a bomb-thrower. This time, he’s running to become Minnesota’s chief law enforcement officer. John Hinderaker summed things up beautifully in this post, titled “Who wants a pro-crime attorney general”?

If you want a pro-law enforcement attorney general in Minnesota, the only choice is Doug Wardlow:

Think about this — Keith Ellison wants to be Minnesota’s chief law enforcement officer but he disagrees with the Bill of Rights and he thinks that he can beat up women without getting punished. What type of idiot liberal thinks that makes sense?

Let me rephrase that. What idiot liberal other than the ones serving on the Senate Judiciary Committee thinks that ignoring the Constitution and beating up women is ok? In Karen Monahan’s case, she provided proof of Ellison’s assault. She didn’t wait 30+ years to make the accusation. She immediately reported it to the proper authorities. Medical personnel have verified her injuries.

Keith Ellison is devoid of character plus he thinks he’s above the law. Why would we elect that type of dirtbag? Instead, let’s elect Doug Wardlow. With him, we know he won’t support cop-killers or beat up women.
