The Democrats’ impeachment dilemma isn’t difficult to find. This article definitely doesn’t bury the lede:

“Nancy Pelosi’s impeachment resolution day turned into a MASSIVE fundraising day for ??@realDonaldTrump?,” Trump campaign manager Brad Parscale tweeted Friday morning. According to Parscale, the campaign raised $3 million online in one day, totaling $19 million in funds raised over the course of the month. The $3 million addition came the same day the House passed the resolution, which the campaign called a “sham.”

Expect that total to be dwarfed when the Judiciary Committee approves articles of impeachment. The way that I’m choosing to view this is that this is proof of how fired up Republicans are.

This information is miles ahead of the Democrats:

On Friday, a day after the House vote, Facebook ads from the Trump Make America Great Again Committee asked supporters to “add your name” to the people willing to “Stand with President Trump” in the face of the impeachment inquiry.
Supporters then are encouraged to leave their names, email addresses, ZIP codes and mobile numbers.
In a recent conference call with reporters, a Trump official called the reelection effort a “digital first campaign” that can swiftly seize on fast-moving news, such as developments in the impeachment inquiry, to target voters and test and tweak advertising messages on digital platforms.

“They are running a highly sophisticated operation,” Reid Vineis, vice president for digital at Republican ad-buying firm Majority Strategies, said of the Trump operation. “The Trump campaign has been essentially building a database for the 2020 general election.” Of particular value: The campaign’s collection of mobile phone numbers.

“Politics is much more effective at a one-to-one level,” Vineis said. “Text messages are read almost 100% of the time. The Trump campaign’s accumulation of all this text-messaging data gives them a direct line to voters.”

The Trump campaign has already identified tons of voters. That’s led to tons of online contributions from new supporters. It’s fair to say that the Trump campaign is building out their base. Yes, their 2016 supporters still support him. They aren’t the only people supporting him, though.

While Democrats are still picking their nominee, President Trump is growing his base while dirtying up his potential opponents.

Everyone knows that President Trump and Vice President Pence, aka Team Fun, are coming to Minnesota this Thursday. Good for them. They’re going all in to flip Minnesota. DFL Gov. Tim Walz sounds worried that President Trump will flip Minnesota. While Ed still thinks it’s a longshot, I still think it’s possible. I think it’s possible because, frankly, the Democrat presidential candidates are pretty mediocre. If there was a positive-sounding moderate voice that didn’t listen to the AOC + 3 crowd, I think Minnesota would be offlimits. Democrats don’t have a candidate that fits that description.

That being said, they’re sending out tons of fundraising emails:

John,
I’m sure you’re aware that President Trump is holding a campaign rally in Minnesota this Thursday, but I wanted to make sure you saw the breaking news that they’re tripling down.

Karen Pence and Lara Trump will now be coming to hold a campaign event on Wednesday, and Vice President Pence will be coming to hold a separate rally on Thursday. For both Trump and Pence, this will be the second time they’ve visited Minnesota this year. They’re going all-in on flipping Minnesota red, and they think they can do it with a message of fear and division.

But we know better. Minnesotans resoundingly rejected their scare tactics up and down the ballot in 2018, and as long as we can hold our own against the avalanche of far-right-wing money headed our way, we will again in 2020. So, with all eyes on Minnesota this week, we need to send a clear message. We’re setting a goal of 500 individual donors by Thursday night and we’re counting on you to hit it.

Most of Gov. Walz’s fundraising email is right but he got one thing wrong. Unfortunately, the thing that Walz got wrong is the biggest thing he got wrong. Lara Trump and Karen Pence don’t think that they’ll flip Minnesota from blue-to-red “with a message of fear and division.” If Minnesota flips, it’ll be because the economy is helping all population groups. The economy is helping minorities like never before. President Trump signed prison reform, which is already helping minority communities. The energy industry is incredible, with the US as the world’s energy superpower.

This looks like fun.

The Democrats, on the other hand, are the dividers. Democrats are the people pushing a divisive faux impeachment drive. Democrats retook the US House by promising the people that they’d fix health care. The Democrats haven’t fixed the problems they promised they’d fix. 33 Democrats joined the Problem Solvers Caucus. Thus far, those Democrats haven’t fixed anything.

When we had unified Republican government, they focused on making life better for the people. Republicans passed the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, which helped the economy take off like it never did during the Obama administration. They used the Congressional Review Act to repeal the Obama administration’s anti-energy regulations.

To be fair, there’s more to accomplish, like fixing immigration and asylum walls and building the wall between the US and Mexico. We still have to fix health care after the Democrats screwed it up with Obamacare. If you want a stagnant economy and rationed health care, including no private health care, vote Democrat. If you want a strong economy, vote Republican. If you want minorities prospering like never before, vote Republican. If you want your constitutional rights protected, vote Republican.

If you want Congress to waste time on a divisive faux impeachment inquiry, vote Democrat.

People need to reject the MSM’s attempt to talk the US economy into a recession. The Democrats’ media wing is doing its level best to convince people that their rising wages haven’t happened. The Democrats’ media wing is also trying to families’ strong confidence isn’t warranted.

Democrats are doing this in their attempt to win an election. They aren’t talking about the strong fundamentals. Democrats won’t admit that the Trump/GOP tax cuts work. Democrats won’t admit that the Trump/GOP regulation reductions have turned the US energy industry into one of the strongest growth industries in the world. Admitting that would be disastrous for Democrats.

It’d be disastrous for Democrats because it would tell people that voting for President Trump’s re-election would keep the US economy strong and growing. As Liz Peek writes “it’s hard to call for a revolution if the people are happy.” That’s exactly right, Liz. And right now, people are happy:

That’s why Democrats and their media enablers were beyond giddy to see markets nosedive. This was it, pundits proclaimed: Trump’s trade war has brought us to the brink of a downturn. Maybe. But maybe not. The very next day, the Commerce Department reported that U.S. retail sales surged 0.7 percent in July, up from a 0.3 percent gain in June, beating expectations.

The U.S. consumer continues to defy prognosticators; despite Democrats campaigning on the miseries of the middle class, by gosh the middle class insists on streaming into Walmart and pumping up the economy. Walmart just reported that its “U.S. comp sales increased on a two-year stacked basis by 7.3%, which is the strongest growth in more than 10 years.”

Also, the Labor Department reported that productivity rose 2.3 percent in the second quarter, down from 3.5 percent in the first quarter, but a solid gain nonetheless, and one that bodes well for future wage hikes.

Those damned uppity peasants just won’t listen to their Democrat betters. Those uppity peasants have maintained a strong confidence in the US economy’s trajectory. That might be irrational but it’s nonetheless real. Consumer confidence is currently at 135.7, which is exceptionally high.

Again, it’s impossible to get the peasants to grab their pitchforks and run the President out of office when they’d rather thank him for starting the rebuilding of their communities, the tax cuts and the pay raises. Speaker Pelosi hasn’t admitted that the economy is humming, especially in this statement:

“The July jobs report shows some encouraging news, but for the families across the nation working multiple jobs and struggling to make ends meet, the cost of living has surged, wages have stagnated and the GOP’s disastrous special interest agenda has left them behind.

“Republicans continue to push a radical agenda that enriches the wealthy and well-connected while failing hard-working Americans. Farmers are struggling, economic uncertainty is growing, and the Trump Administration is making it harder for hungry families to make ends meet. But while Republicans explore handing even bigger tax breaks to billionaires, the Democratic Majority has taken bold action to deliver bigger paychecks for up to 33 million hard-working Americans, passing the Raise the Wage Act to gradually increasing the federal minimum wage to $15 an hour.

I’d love watching Speaker Pelosi, or any Democrat for that matter, debate Eric Trump. Eric’s appearance here was impressive:

Eventually, there will be a recession. Will that happen soon? I’m betting it’s a ways off.

If you want to know the biggest difference between the Democrats’ presidential candidates and President Trump, it isn’t difficult to identify. The Democrats’ presidential candidates aren’t peddling the truth. They’re peddling doom and gloom. Whether it’s Elizabeth Warren, Bernie Sanders, Pete Buttigieg or Bill de Blasio, they’re peddling a message that the world will end in 12 years if we don’t solve climate change or they’re peddling a message that blue collar families are getting screwed because ‘the rich’ are ripping everyone off.

Voters won’t flock to a political party that insists the world is going to hell in a handbasket.

Meanwhile, President Trump’s message is simple and two-fold. One part of President Trump’s message is Promises Made, Promises Kept. The other part of President Trump’s message is Keep America Great. They work hand-in-hand. President Trump’s speeches often start with him talking about how strong the economy is, especially for minorities and women, then talking about all the great judges that’ve gotten confirmed by the Senate, followed by talking about criminal justice reform.

Just like you can’t beat something with nothing, it’s true that you can’t doom and gloom yourself to the White House. You have to uplift people. Right now, Democrats don’t have a Reaganesque Happy Warrior. The Democrats’ candidates are angry and pessimistic. Think Bernie, de Blasio, Elizabeth Warren and Gillibrand. These are candidates that specialize in anger and pessimism.

Back in the late 1970s, it was fashionable for supposed intellectuals to talk about how the presidency was just too big for one man. The political science professoriate talked about the need for a co-presidency. That professoriate even talked about changing the Constitution so that the president would serve a single 6-year term. That was during Jimmy Carter’s single 4-year term in office.

That fashionable talk disappeared the minute President Reagan took over and got the economy hitting on all cylinders. In October, 1983, the US economy created 1,100,000 jobs. I’ve got to think that’s the single-month record and that it’ll never be eclipsed. It wasn’t that the presidency was too big for one man. It’s that it was too big for that man, aka Jimmy Carter.

During his final months in office, President Obama ridiculed then-candidate Trump, saying that you’d need a magic wand to bring back manufacturing jobs during this townhall:

Just like with Reagan replacing Carter, we’re seeing the same robust economic growth increase from the turnover from Obama to President Trump. The comparison is striking. President Reagan cut taxes dramatically, especially capital gains, while pursuing deregulation, especially in the energy sector. President Trump is following the same path to success, virtually to a T.

At this week’s Democrat presidential debates, Democrat presidential candidates criticized President Obama for not being sufficiently socialist enough. By the time Democrats pick their nominee, which might not be determined until their convention, President Trump will join in the criticism of President Obama. It’s just that President Trump will criticize President Obama for not being sufficiently capitalist enough.

It’s entirely possible that President Trump will win a decisive victory, though I can’t predict him winning the 525 electoral votes that President Reagan achieved in 1984. Talk about deja vu all over again.

Based on this article, it’s pretty clear that the GOP is the only growth stock in American politics. I don’t know if it’s a bull market yet or not but it’s got the best yields thus far.

During the 2016 election campaign, President Trump inspired millions of Americans with the simple promise that he would “Make America Great Again” through “America First” policies. The media wrote that message off as a meaningless campaign slogan, but millions of Americans across this country knew better.

Since then, both the economy and the Republican Party have been flourishing, fueled by a president who is delivering on his promises for all Americans. Thanks to Donald Trump’s leadership, the Republican Party is now synonymous with freedom, economic prosperity and security.

The data shows that this movement is growing. President Trump’s rallies consistently draw well over 30,000 attendees, whether they take place in a remote airport hangar or a major sports arena. Just last month, his 2020 campaign kickoff rally in Orlando received more than 120,000 RSVPs for a venue that could accommodate 20,000. The same routine plays out at every rally: people start lining up days in advance to make sure they can get a seat, because they know that thousands of people will end up watching the president’s speech on jumbotrons from the parking lot once attendance reaches capacity. We’ve never seen the same level of enthusiasm or support for Democrats, especially for any of their 2020 presidential candidates.

Who knew that middle class Americans preferred prosperity over stagnation and microscopic unemployment rates over respectable unemployment rates? Who knew that blue collar workers would appreciate a candidate who kept their promises?

Actually, it was entirely predictable. In fact, I’ve been writing on LFR about the powerful effect keeping political promises would have for years. Democrats haven’t kept their promises. (See the ‘productivity’ of the Problem Solvers Caucus.) Rather than fixing things that are important to people, Democrats have engaged in a fishing expedition looking for that one piece of proof that will impeach President Trump.

This information should frighten Democrats:

The data also proves that this movement includes all Americans. Earlier this year, President Trump held a rally in El Paso, Texas at which over a quarter of those who registered had not voted in more than eight years and 27% were Millennials or younger. In Orlando, one-third of the registrants were not regular voters, and over 15% were 32 years of age or younger. In El Paso, over 70% of the registrants were Latino and 35% of them were registered Democrats. The president’s “America First” message clearly has broad appeal for Americans of every demographic.

Pandering doesn’t work. Period. Keeping important promises works like a charm. The proof is in the pudding:

One of those voters is a lifelong Democrat in Ohio. Scott Ford recently made a splash on social media when he announced that he will be attending the president’s next rally in Cincinnati on Thursday. Scott endured what he described as “complete torture” and “hate” from liberals over his defection, but he’ll be welcomed into the Trump movement with open arms.

Scott is far from the only Democrat to walk away. Americans experience the benefits of President Trump’s leadership every day in the form of the booming economy his policies created. Meanwhile, endless investigations and a “Squad” of radical Democrats are synonymous with the Democratic agenda. Instead of resistance, wouldn’t it be nice if the Democrats worked with Republicans to end the crisis at our southern border, pass the USMCA and rebuild America’s infrastructure?

Let’s crush the Resist Movement. Let’s get back to working with each other rather than constantly fighting.
