Anyone that thinks that President Trump isn’t amazing isn’t paying attention. It isn’t about whether you agree with his tweets or not. It’s about President Trump’s ability to focus on what’s most important the past month. Democrats have been trying to impeach President Trump since before he took office. That’s 3 years ago. While Resist Democrats, aka Do-Nothing Democrats, have stood against virtually everything President Trump advocated for, President Trump has implemented policies that’ve put the United States on the right path economically and from a national security standpoint.

Just 48 hours ago, Do-Nothing Democrats and their media allies criticized President Trump’s decision to pull a handful of troops out of northern Syria. Some Democrats said that “the White House had no ‘real plan’ to combat the terror group following the U.S. pullout in Syria.” Sunday morning, President Trump held an hour-long news conference to announce an operation that killed the world’s top terrorist, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi. That happened without the world knowing what was happening. President Trump knew what was happening for 3 days.

Despite Democrats’ constant criticism, President Trump has made great decisions. President Trump’s economic policies have strengthened families while lifting minority families out of poverty. President Trump’s military policies have brought troops home without giving comfort to terrorists. (President Obama can’t say that.)

Despite the Democrats’ 3-year-long impeachment investigation, President Trump’s policies have made the US more prosperous, rebuilt rural America, made the US energy dominant while rebuilding the military and strengthening border security. He’s done this without a single vote from Democrats. The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act has strengthened the US economy. That passed without a single Democrat vote in the House or Senate.

Each day, President Trump has to listen to busybodies throw hissy fits about him allegedly committing treason or the walls closing in. He’s had to listen to has-been reporters claim that what Trump did was “worse than Watergate.” Additionally, President Trump has had to listen to commentators insist that that day’s testimony was a bombshell.

President Trump just keeps chugging along. He’s heard this crap for 3+ years. It hasn’t stopped him from giving as good as he’s gotten. It hasn’t stopped him from getting major initiatives enacted. When he puts this all together at the Convention next year, it’ll make for an impressive-sounding acceptance speech that’ll rally longtime activists and newly minted Republicans alike.

I don’t think that President Trump can walk on water but I’m convinced that he’s accomplished as much in 3 years as Bill Clinton accomplished in 8. Considering the hostile press he’s faced daily and the Do-Nothing Democrats impeachment insanity he’s had to deal with, it’s amazing he’s still standing, much less flourishing. When impeachment falls behind him, President Trump won’t have to deal with the BS that he’s had to deal with his entire presidency.

Hopefully, President Trump will be re-elected with a bigger GOP Senate majority while retaking the House away from the nuts that currently run the Democrat Party. If we have unified government again, the economy will improve and more reforms will get accomplished.

That would be truly amazing.

Republicans, led by Andy Biggs, the new chairman of the House Freedom Caucus, have gone on the offensive against the Democrats’ weakest link, aka Adam Schiff. Schiff’s tactics have been unfair, unconstitutional and totally partisan. If the goal of this impeachment process is to win people over and hold them there, it’s failing.

Newt Gingrich knows a thing or two about impeachment. He said “Schiff is an embarrassingly dishonest person. Pelosi has become an embarrassingly dishonest person.” He’s right, albeit a bit gentle. He said that to Fox & Friends. When he appeared on Outnumbered, Newt said “I think he’s lost his mind”, which is true, though not in the clinical sense.

Schiff isn’t interested in being fair. Further, his statements are further out there than Hillary’s latest statements. Hillary’s statements about Tulsi Gabbard are out there beyond the edge of the solar system. Schiff’s statements are out there beyond the edge of the galaxy.

This information should frighten Democrats:

In the six closest states carried by the president in 2016, registered voters support the impeachment inquiry by a five-point margin, 50 percent to 45 percent. The same voters oppose impeaching Mr. Trump and removing him from office, 53 percent to 43 percent.

In other words, Democrats are pushing something that’s underwater in the polls. Support for an impeachment inquiry isn’t that popular. Support for impeaching and removing President Trump is far less popular. If Pelosi and Schiff push forward on impeachment and removal, 2 things can’t be avoided. First, those vulnerable freshman Democrats will have to vote for impeachment for it to pass. Their other option is voting against impeachment, which hangs out their far leftist Democrats to dry.

This isn’t good news for Democrats either:

An NBC/WSJ poll, for instance, found that adults opposed impeachment and removal by a six-point margin, 49 percent to 43 percent, nearly the reverse of Fox’s result of 51 percent supporting and 43 percent opposed. Other surveys, from Marist College, Quinnipiac, CNN/SSRS and Monmouth College, also found more opposition than support for impeachment and removal. The Times/Siena results are fairly consistent with those surveys.

Any issue that consistently polls at 43% isn’t an issue I’d spend more than a few seconds on. That being said, I hope Democrats spend the next month on this. While Democrats are holding impeachment hearings in private, then leaking partial transcripts to the press, they’re reinforcing their image of being the Swamp. Meanwhile, President Trump can hold weekly rallies to tell 25,000+ people at each event that he’s still fighting for them but these Do-Nothing Democrats keep holding these hearings instead of working with him on fixing immigration or making his tax cuts permanent or doing other things.

Don’t be surprised if, a year from now, people say that they prefer a president who wants to fix things over Democrats who want to spend all of their time investigating things. Do-Nothing Democrats isn’t just a talking point. It’s the truth. This truth, though, won’t set Democrats free.

This op-ed about prescription drug prices was written by Kevin Brady, Virginia Foxx and Greg Walden. The question now is whether Do-Nothing Democrats will join in the effort or whether they’ll do what they usually do, which is resist in the name of Trump.

I’m betting that they’ll express an interest in working together without actually working together. That’s what they did with the Trump-GOP tax cuts. The end result was that no Democrats, either in the House or Senate, voted for the tax cuts. That’s proof that no Democrats were willing to compromise with Republicans to strengthen the US economy.

Right now, President Trump and GOP leaders in the House and Senate are pressuring Ms. Pelosi into putting the USMCA up for a vote. Ms. Pelosi’s statement is that they’re (Democrats) are working their way to yes. Today, they’re saying it’s close. I’m not holding my breath. But I digress. Back to getting something done.

Tracy always has two EpiPens on her. Her son, age 17 now, carries another. This practice began when he was diagnosed with serious allergies as a 2-year-old. This is life for Tracy, and for thousands of other parents across America. But when a drug company charges $1,819.08 for three EpiPen two-packs – and the medicine in the device costs only a few dollars – alarm bells go off.

I’d be outraged if that happened to me. Here’s where the problem exists:

Then in 2017, the Federal Drug Administration (FDA) Reauthorization Act was signed into law leading to the approval of 971 generics, or copies of brand name drug, including the first generic version of the EpiPen. Congress saw a problem, put aside politics, and made progress for families like Tracy Bush.

We started to do that this year, too. Republicans and Democrats on the House Energy and Commerce Committee moved three significant and bipartisan bills to the U.S. House floor in May. The CREATES Act, Pay for Delay, and the BLOCKING Act each removed barriers for generic drugs to get to consumers faster, pushing back on bad behavior from big pharmaceutical companies gaming the system and preventing competition. These policies would help bring down drug prices at the counter, an obvious win for the American people.

That’s where the problem starts:

Enter Speaker Nancy Pelosi. The Speaker of the House opted to discard months of bipartisan work to put politics over progress. This Washington Post headline nailed it, “Democrats are putting a political pothole in the way of bipartisan drug pricing bills.” She snatched defeat from the jaws of victory, forsaking a bipartisan win on lowering drug prices for the American people.

Like clockwork, Speaker Pelosi entered the fray with her partisan drug pricing scheme – written behind closed doors. The Speaker’s drug plan attempts to nationalize the prescription drug industry through foreign price controls, retroactive tax penalties, arbitrary inflation caps, and federally mandated “negotiations,” which amount to nothing more than government extortion and price-setting. And as for Medicare Part D modernization? Once Speaker Pelosi’s plan was introduced, bipartisan negotiations ceased, making clear the Democrats’ position is their way or the highway. Bad news for seniors.

This is proof that Democrats weren’t serious about walking and chewing gum at the same time. They just wanted to impeach President Trump. Implementing policies that made their constituents’ lives better just wasn’t that high of a priority for Democrats. This is a fantastic clip on that subject:

Everyone knows that President Trump and Vice President Pence, aka Team Fun, are coming to Minnesota this Thursday. Good for them. They’re going all in to flip Minnesota. DFL Gov. Tim Walz sounds worried that President Trump will flip Minnesota. While Ed still thinks it’s a longshot, I still think it’s possible. I think it’s possible because, frankly, the Democrat presidential candidates are pretty mediocre. If there was a positive-sounding moderate voice that didn’t listen to the AOC + 3 crowd, I think Minnesota would be offlimits. Democrats don’t have a candidate that fits that description.

That being said, they’re sending out tons of fundraising emails:

I’m sure you’re aware that President Trump is holding a campaign rally in Minnesota this Thursday, but I wanted to make sure you saw the breaking news that they’re tripling down.

Karen Pence and Lara Trump will now be coming to hold a campaign event on Wednesday, and Vice President Pence will be coming to hold a separate rally on Thursday. For both Trump and Pence, this will be the second time they’ve visited Minnesota this year. They’re going all-in on flipping Minnesota red, and they think they can do it with a message of fear and division.

But we know better. Minnesotans resoundingly rejected their scare tactics up and down the ballot in 2018, and as long as we can hold our own against the avalanche of far-right-wing money headed our way, we will again in 2020. So, with all eyes on Minnesota this week, we need to send a clear message. We’re setting a goal of 500 individual donors by Thursday night and we’re counting on you to hit it.

Most of Gov. Walz’s fundraising email is right but he got one thing wrong. Unfortunately, the thing that Walz got wrong is the biggest thing he got wrong. Lara Trump and Karen Pence don’t think that they’ll flip Minnesota from blue-to-red “with a message of fear and division.” If Minnesota flips, it’ll be because the economy is helping all population groups. The economy is helping minorities like never before. President Trump signed prison reform, which is already helping minority communities. The energy industry is incredible, with the US as the world’s energy superpower.

This looks like fun.

The Democrats, on the other hand, are the dividers. Democrats are the people pushing a divisive faux impeachment drive. Democrats retook the US House by promising the people that they’d fix health care. The Democrats haven’t fixed the problems they promised they’d fix. 33 Democrats joined the Problem Solvers Caucus. Thus far, those Democrats haven’t fixed anything.

When we had unified Republican government, they focused on making life better for the people. Republicans passed the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, which helped the economy take off like it never did during the Obama administration. They used the Congressional Review Act to repeal the Obama administration’s anti-energy regulations.

To be fair, there’s more to accomplish, like fixing immigration and asylum walls and building the wall between the US and Mexico. We still have to fix health care after the Democrats screwed it up with Obamacare. If you want a stagnant economy and rationed health care, including no private health care, vote Democrat. If you want a strong economy, vote Republican. If you want minorities prospering like never before, vote Republican. If you want your constitutional rights protected, vote Republican.

If you want Congress to waste time on a divisive faux impeachment inquiry, vote Democrat.

Since Angie Craig and Dean Phillips announced that they supported impeachment proceedings, they’ve resisted making it a level playing field for Republicans and Democrats alike. Thus far, the ‘rules’ have been made up on the fly.

If that’s the Democrats’ definition of constitutional fairness, I don’t think many people will agree with Democrats. We’ve been told by Ms. Pelosi that this is a solemn matter that requires constant prayer and introspection. These hearings haven’t featured fairness, much less constitutional principles. Why haven’t Phillips and Craig insisted on investigative fairness? If this is supposed to be a time of solemnity, why hasn’t Schiff displayed fairness throughout?

Craig and Phillips flipped their opinions on whether to conduct an investigation into impeachment based on nothing. Let’s remember that these freshmen Democrats switched their opinions before the facts of the case changed. When Craig and Phillips switched to yes on the impeachment investigation, they didn’t switch their opinion on whether they think President Trump should be impeached.

Craig and Phillips switched their opinion the Friday before Queen Nancy declared the impeachment inquiry was official. Let’s not forget that the Trump-Zelensky transcript wasn’t released until the day after Queen Nancy’s declaration. Let’s not forget that the CIA snitch’s complaint wasn’t released until that Thursday. It’s fair to ask Craig and Phillips why they changed their minds.

Let’s ask this Democrat duo what rules must be put in place to ensure fairness and constitutional due process. Should President Trump’s attorneys have the right to confront President Trump’s accusers? If not, why not? If defendants’ representation are allowed to cross-examine witnesses, shouldn’t a man have that right if he’s about to potentially be thrown out of office?

Craig and Phillips haven’t pushed for a real impeachment vote. Apparently, they won’t vote for a real investigation. Apparently, Democrats are willing to vote for articles of impeachment without an investigation:

House Democrats believe they have the 217 votes needed to pass articles of impeachment against President Trump stemming from his Ukraine call, enough votes to impeach Trump and send articles to the Senate, even before their planned hearings or formal investigation.

That’s breathtakingly stunning. At least 40 of those Democrats just signed their political death certificate. It might reach higher; perhaps as much as 50-55 might get defeated. These Democrats just said that they’ll vote to undo an election without conducting an investigation. Remember this moment of solemnity?

That’s when Ms. Pelosi said “The actions taken to date by the President have seriously violated the Constitution, especially when the President says that “Article II says that I can do whatever I want.” It’s time Ms. Pelosi went to law school. She apparently hasn’t figured out that due process is a constitutional right. Likewise, Ms. Pelosi apparently doesn’t know that the right to a speedy trial doesn’t mean skipping the investigation.

Angie Craig and Dean Phillips are part of that 217 vote majority who will vote to impeach President Trump without investigating him. If that isn’t the definition of radicalism, then such a definition doesn’t exist. Craig and Phillips should join a lengthy list of radical Democrats who’ll need to look for work come New Years Day 2020.

DFL Party Chair Ken Martin chose to follow the lead of Nancy Pelosi during the Almanac Roundtable Friday night. Let’s just say that Martin is as convincing as Pelosi when it comes to talking about how sad a time this is for our nation. In other words, neither was convincing. When Cathy Wurzer asked who would be the political winner from impeachment, Martin even recited a cheesy line that “nobody wins with impeachment.”

I thought Chair Carnahan started off ok when she said that Democrats started off the week by going after President Trump again. It’s indisputable that Democrats have spent far more time criticizing President Trump than they’ve spent trying to keep their campaign promises. It’s worth noting that Cathy Wurzer was particularly unfair as the moderator, too. Wurzer asked “Why is it appropriate for a president to call foreign leaders and suggest investigations of his political rivals?”

Personally, the obvious answer is that the political rival in question, Vice President Biden, is a corrupt SOB, as is his son. The best way to stay out of trouble is to not be as corrupt as Joe or Hunter Biden. If the Biden family wasn’t that corrupt, President Trump wouldn’t have to call them out for corruption. It doesn’t help when the elder Biden smarted off like this:

That’s the jackass Ken Martin is defending with a straight face. Then, with another straight face, Martin said “It’s a really sad day for America. The fact is that this is a solemn and grave situation we find ourselves in and no one should take glee in the fact that a sitting president of the United States is being impeached. The reality, though, is that this President, while in office, has tried to extort a foreign government to influence our elections. Not only is that wrong. It’s a brazen abuse of power which threatens our national security and it also violates a president’s oath he took to protect and defend the Constitution of the United States. This is a serious matter. It’s not a political matter. There are huge questions that need to be answered and that’s what this impeachment is about. Look, we’re at a moment in our country’s history where our trust in government, our trust in politicians, our trust in institutions is at an all-time low and if we’re going to restore integrity and trust with the American people, we can’t have this type of behavior in the highest office in the land. We need to have accountability. There’s a reason why our Constitution is set up the way it is, with checks and balances and that’s what this is about. Not only to hold the president accountable to his actions but to make sure that we are doing our job of protecting and defending the Constitution of the United States of America.”

First, it’s time to call Martin out as a bald-faced liar, perhaps on the level of Rep. Schiff. Saying that “this President, while in office, has tried to extort a foreign government to influence our elections” is an outright lie. There’s no proof that supports that accusation. Period. Chairman Martin, which foreign government did President Trump extort? Chairman Martin, what thing of value did President Trump receive from a foreign government? Chairman Martin, what did President Trump use to allegedly gain this thing of value?

Next, insisting that this unmentioned thing that President Trump extorted from a foreign leader will “influence our elections” is laughable at best. If Martin thinks that Biden represents a serious challenge to President Trump, my first question would be ‘what drugs are you using?’ The next question would be ‘how expensive are they?’ Seriously, anyone that thinks that any of those nobodies running for the Democrats’ presidential nomination is a serious challenger is kidding themselves.

Third, the hint that this isn’t serious is when Martin says that “there are huge questions that need to be answered and that’s what this impeachment is about.” When Congress voted to open the impeachment on Nixon, there were multiple constitutional crises to deal with and multiple additional crimes to deal with.” I’m betting that Martin couldn’t honestly tell you if a crime had been committed. I’m certain that he’d admit that there isn’t a constitutional crisis.

Democrats continuously insist that “nobody is above the law, not even the president.” Here’s a radical thought for Democrats: nobody is above the law, not even former vice presidents and their kids. Hunter Biden shouldn’t get a free pass just because his washed-up dad is running for president. President Trump had an obligation to finish the Biden family’s corruption. If someone has a problem with that, that’s their problem.

Later in the interview, Chairwoman Carnahan rattled off a number of President Trump’s accomplishments. Chairman Martin couldn’t resist taking a cheapshot at President Trump, saying “President Trump made a lot of promises to Minnesotans and to Americans when he ran in 2016. He said he would fix health care. He said he would make it more affordable and accessible. He’s done nothing.

What a coincidence. Pelosi’s pilgrims promised to fix health care, too. Instead of fixing Obamacare, they spent tons of time investigating President Trump. Even while Robert Mueller was investigating President Trump, Democrats didn’t lift a finger to fix Obamacare. This election, rather than looking backward, Democrats will have to defend Medicare-for-All because Elizabeth Warren will likely be the Democrats’ nominee. Good luck defending that proposition, Kenny. You’ll need it.

Towards the end of the interview, Martin was stupid enough to say that Democrats believed in the rule of law. That’s from an idiot whose party thinks that citizens should pay for illegal aliens’ health care. That’s coming from someone whose political party thinks that illegal immigration should be decriminalized. Does that sound like a political party whose highest priority is the rule of law? Give me a break.

Later, Martin insisted that Democrats put a high priority on people of character. That’s difficult to accept considering that their point person on impeachment is Adam Schiff. Schiff lied about never meeting the CIA agent/snitch/Democrat activist. Schiff is the liar who pretended to read from the transcript while he made the entire thing up. That certainly sounds like a man of sterling character.

Finally, Martin asked “The other day, on the lawn of the White House, the President implored Ukraine and China to do an investigation of one of the President’s political rivals?” The correct answer to that question is ‘you’d better believe it.’ Hillary blamed the FBI for costing her the presidency. That’s BS. She cost herself the White House because she was utterly corrupt. This time, Vice President Biden is utterly corrupt. If he’d led an exemplary life, President Trump wouldn’t have a reason to have those countries investigate Biden.

The solution, Mr. Martin, is to stop having corrupt people who’ve been in DC for a combined 75 years run for president. If eliminating corruption is your top priority, that should be simple, Chairman Martin.

Back when Yasser Arafat was still alive and leading the PLO (That’s what it was called back then), there was a cliché that said that the PLO “never missed an opportunity to miss an opportunity. Apparently, Democrats must’ve inherited that trait.

What’s happening is that Adam Schiff is going too far:

House Republicans are demanding an “equal playing field” in the Democrat-led impeachment probe against President Trump after Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff said ahead of Thursday’s scheduled testimony from former U.S. envoy for Ukraine Kurt Volker that GOP members of the Foreign Affairs Committee will not be permitted to ask questions or have equal representation during the session.

Then McCaul cited specific House Rules:

In the letter addressed to Chairman Eliot L. Engel, D-N.Y., McCaul further argued that despite statements made by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., and other Democrats, “there is not a ‘House of Representatives’ impeachment inquiry” because the entire House has not voted on the matter.

Citing House Rules X and XI, McCaul said that until Congress members from both parties vote to create a special impeachment task force to carry out proceedings, “Intelligence Chairman Adam Schiff lacks the jurisdiction to investigate the Department of State’s conduct of United States foreign policy toward Ukraine. That prerogative belongs to our Members.”

“Official impeachment inquiries are initiated by the adoption of a House resolution empowering or creating a committee or task force to undertake such activities,” McCaul continued. “In both the Nixon and Clinton cases, the Judiciary Committee debated and reported a resolution authorizing the Judiciary Committee to investigate whether there were sufficient grounds to impeach the President, which was then debated and voted on by the full House of Representatives. There have been no such debates or votes in this Congress.”

If Democrats want to run roughshod on Republicans, there might be a short-term gain (That’s no guarantee, BTW) but there will be a long-term loss. (That’s a guarantee.) People might or might not have an opinion on impeachment itself but I’m betting the ranch that they have a strong opinion on basic fairness. This doesn’t come close in terms of fairness. Don’t think that swing-district Democrats won’t pay a hefty price for Shiffty Schiff’s heavy-handed tactics.

If Democrats want to hand Chairman gavels back to Republicans, they’re following the right playbook. Between this ham-handedness and the Democrats’ all-impeachment-all-the-time agenda and nonexistent list of accomplishments, I don’t know how Pelosi’s Democrats avoid a big red wave. Expect Republicans to raise procedural complaints whenever Democrats attempt to thwart the minority party’s rights according to the rules.

It isn’t a secret that Democrats want to shove this impeachment through the House in rocket-docket fashion. Rest assured that House GOP leadership and President Trump to criticize Democrats mightily whenever Democrats try running roughshod on Republicans.

Speaker Pelosi understands that she’ll need some accomplishments to keep her House majority. That’s why she wants this impeachment fiasco to be fast-paced and in the rear-view mirror. That’s needed to keep the activists activated. Policy accomplishments are what’s needed to win elections. At this point, Do-Nothing Democrats don’t have a single significant accomplishment since retaking the majority in the House.

This morning, Speaker Pelosi said that they’re “making progress” with the USMCA. Don’t kid yourself that this isn’t the result of WH pressure on Pelosi. That’s exactly what’s causing this progress. Still, the White House, the farmers and the car manufacturers need to keep applying pressure to the Do-Nothing Democrats.

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., said Wednesday that Democrats are “making progress” on the trilateral trade deal with Mexico and Canada, known as USMCA, but need more assurances before they can approve the agreement. “We want to be sure that as we go forward, we are strengthening America’s working families and our farmers who are very affected by this,” Pelosi said at a news conference alongside House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff, D-Calif.

Making progress isn’t enough. Farmers and automobile manufacturers need to hear politicians say ‘Mr. President, it’s passed Congress.’

President Trump must read LFR because I’ve been frequently used the term Do-Nothing Democrats. Either that or he’s as smart or smarter than me. This morning, President Trump started emphasizing the term Do-Nothing Democrats:

Nancy Pelosi just said that she is interested in lowering prescription drug prices & working on the desperately needed USMCA. She is incapable of working on either. It is just camouflage for trying to win an election through impeachment. The Do Nothing Democrats are stuck in mud!

Don’t think that didn’t get underneath Ms. Pelosi’s hide just a little. What’s certain to get under Ms. Pelosi’s skin even more is that she’s painted herself into a big corner on the USMCA. If it’s ratified by the House and Senate, the economy gets a well-timed jolt, which kicks the economy into a higher gear right in time for the general election campaign.

At that point, Democrats will have handed President Trump a huge victory on the economy, which should seal President Trump’s re-election. Additionally, President Trump will be able to rattle off an impressive list of accomplishments in addition to the economy. Democrats will need to rack up other victories to win re-election. Atop that list that President Trump will insist on is fixing the US’s asylum and immigration laws and funding to finish President Trump’s wall.

I can picture President Trump pushing those things. I can’t picture Pelosi handing him a victory on the wall funding, though. It’s possible she might agree on updating the immigration and asylum laws, though I think that’s mostly a long-shot.

When Mitch McConnell and Kevin McCarthy got together to write this op-ed that the WSJ published, they definitely tag-teamed Nancy Pelosi. Their opening paragraph definitely was the tempo-setter for the article:

President Trump and the leaders of Canada and Mexico announced the most significant trade deal in a generation a year ago this week. The U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement is unambiguously a win for America. It would create new jobs, expand export markets, strengthen protections for workers, and generate billions of dollars in new prosperity. The USMCA would also help keep North American partners close while the U.S. hangs tough with China.

It wasn’t until the third paragraph that McConnell-McCarthy brought out the sharp elbows:

Under pressure from progressives to deny the country any successes during the Trump administration, Speaker Nancy Pelosi has tried to run out the clock on the USMCA. Leading House Democrats frequently claim to support the deal in the abstract but have spent months finding one excuse after another to delay passing it.

After that, their elbows get significantly sharper:

The administration has worked tirelessly to address these shifting objections. It’s time for Mrs. Pelosi’s delay tactics to end. House Democrats need to put the country first and stop blocking this significant victory for the American people. The USMCA isn’t some political football. It’s a critical piece of economic policy. Its enactment or failure will have life-changing consequences for workers. Twelve million American jobs rely on trade with our northern and southern neighbors, according to the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. Mexico and Canada together represent a $500 billion export market for the U.S. They buy one-third of the goods America exports, plus tens of billions of dollars more in services.

Pelosi knows that she cant hold her majority if they don’t have any accomplishments. If she can’t put together the votes to ratify, then voters will know what today’s Democrats emphasize economically, which is socialism.

Frankly, the Resist Movement hasn’t helped Democrats going into this presidential election cycle. Resist has pushed for impeachment and hating Trump. That’s led to nothing in terms of accomplishments. When Republicans face the voters, they’ll rattle off an impressive list of accomplishments. When Democrats face the voters, they’ll be able to say ‘We impeached President Trump.

If anyone thinks that Democrats stand a fighting chance of winning swing districts, they’re kidding themselves.

The disparity between House Democrats and Senate Majority Leader couldn’t be more different. Sen. McConnell’s pro-growth economic agenda stands in stark contrast with Speaker Pelosi’s all-impeachment-all-the-time agenda in the House. Monday morning, Sen. McConnell sat down for an interview with the folks from CNBC’s Squawk Alley on his economic agenda. One of the things that Sen. McConnell talked about was the USMCA:

The argument for USMCA is very, very compelling, you know: 176,000 new jobs, $68 billion increase in gross domestic product, we have 12 million jobs already related to our trade relationship with Canada and Mexico. So I think it is going to be pretty hard for her not to take it up, even though voting for a Trump trade deal, I gather, is a bitter pill for them.

It’s difficult enacting many bills when you hate President Trump. Things would be so much easier if Democrats put our nation first instead of putting the Resist Movement first.

Let’s highlight the obvious. The economy is being held back by the trade war with China but it’s still growing at a faster pace than anything that Obama achieved or that Sen. Warren’s policies would achieve if enacted. If you think that puts Sen. Warren or President Obama in a favorable light, the average person whose wages have increased and whose 401(k)s are much healthier disagree.

Here’s what Sen. McConnell said about the Republicans’ economic agenda:

What I want to do is spend our time accomplishing things for the American people. USMCA, as Leader McCarthy and I pointed out in The Wall Street Journal today, is something we can agree on, something we ought to do. It makes a difference for the American people. The House spent the last three years harassing this president, and I gather we’re going to get another chapter of that with the impeachment episode. But we need to find other things that actually make a difference for the American people and try to accomplish as much as we can. That’s what I want to do, and that’s what we’re in the process of trying to encourage the House to do by taking up USMCA.

That’s something that the Do-Nothing Democrats haven’t paid attention to. This batch of Do-Nothing Democrats have wasted too much time chasing their ridiculous impeachment nightmare. What’s frightening is that the Democrats’ presidential candidates sound just as nuts. Here’s the entire interview:
