Whether he’ll admit it or not, Mini Mike Bloomberg is a special interest group unto himself. It isn’t likely that he’ll admit that but he’s the Democrats’ biggest special interest group. In 2018, Mr. Bloomberg contributed at least $80,000,000 to Democrats running for the U.S. House of Representatives.

It isn’t likely that Bloomberg contributed to Democrats running in “rural, conservative-leaning districts where his views on guns and other issues could stir an uproar, according to people briefed on his plans, some of whom spoke on condition of anonymity to discuss private deliberations.” The people who accepted Mini Mike’s campaign contributions are beholden to him. The first logical question to ask is this: what does a candidate sign up for when they accept Mini Mike’s campaign contribution? This statement tells us:

In the last election, for example, I spent nearly ten million dollars to help a Republican, Pat Toomey, get re-elected in Pennsylvania. I disagree with him on many issues. But after the Newtown, Connecticut shooting, he broke with the NRA and co-wrote a bipartisan bill to close the background check loophole. At the same time, I spent roughly the same amount to help successfully elect a Democrat in New Hampshire – Maggie Hassan – who was running to defeat a Republican incumbent who had voted against Toomey’s bill.

This year, I’m supporting both Republican and Democratic gubernatorial candidates who have shown strong leadership on gun safety, the environment, education, and other critical issues facing the country.

In other words, Mini Mike supports liberals from both parties. If they’re spineless and controllable, Mini Mike will consider contributing to them. That statement doesn’t tell the whole truth, though. In this video, though, Mini Mike slipped:

In fairness, some Republicans have taken their constitutional and legislative responsibilities seriously, like my friend John McCain. But too many have been absolutely feckless, including – most disappointingly – the House leadership.

Unified Republican leadership of government produced the Trump-GOP tax cuts that’ve lit a fire under the economy. Unified GOP government allowed Republicans to use the Congressional Review Act, which was used to revitalize the fossil fuel energy industry. That, in turn, allowed the U.S. to become energy independent while crippling Russia’s economy, and helped build the strongest economy in decades. If that’s Mini Mike’s definition of feckless leadership, give me tons of that type of leadership.

Compare that with Nancy Pelosi’s leadership. During this session, Pelosi’s puppets have spent tens of millions of dollars to impeach a president based on hearsay evidence testimony. My bad. I meant testimony because, except in rare cases, hearsay isn’t proof. The other thing of note that this Congress has accomplished is ratifying the USMCA trade agreement. That’s it in eighteen months.

If you want the next congress to march to the Resistance Movement/Bloomberg drum, ignore the Bloomberg/Democrat special interest syndicate. If you want Congress to work for you, there’s only this simple choice: Vote for unified Republican government.

While President Trump was implementing a travel ban to and from China, Democrats accused President Trump of being xenophobic and a racist. This weekend, medical members of the coronavirus task force praised President Trump’s decision. Democrats, including Mini Mike, have twisted President Trump’s words. Democrats said that President Trump called the coronavirus a hoax. Here’s what President Trump actually said:

President Trump jeered Democrats Friday night for criticizing his response to the COVID-19 coronavirus outbreak, saying that it was a “new hoax” after a failed attempt to remove him from office over Ukraine.

“They tried to beat you on Russia, Russia, Russia — that didn’t work out too well,” Trump told a cheering crowd in South Carolina. “They tried the impeachment hoax. That was a perfect conversation. And this is the new hoax,” Trump declared.

“Let’s get this right: A virus starts in China, makes its way into various countries all around the world, doesn’t spread widely at all in the United States because of the early actions that myself and my administration took against a lot of other wishes. And the Democrats’ single talking point and you see it is that it’s Donald Trump’s fault,” he said.

If you want a congress that’s controlled by a narcissistic, egotistical elitist that things that farming is what stupid people do and that thinks it’s ok to control your lives while decrying money in politics, vote Democrat. If you’re sane, though, it’s time to vote GOP. If you want to vote for a one-man special interest group, vote Democrat.

The opening paragraph from Speaker Pelosi’s statement on the November jobs report indicts the Speaker. Here’s what she said:

Despite some encouraging numbers, the November jobs report offers little solace to the farmers and hard-working families who are struggling to stay above water with the costs of living rising and uncertainty surging.

If she’s so worried about “farmers and hard-working families”, why hasn’t she brought USMCA up for a vote yet. For over a year, Ms. Pelosi has said that a) USMCA would be easy to pass and b) she was working her way to yes on ratifying it. Simply put, she’s failed farmers. Ms. Pelosi’s Do-Nothing Democrats have been more interested in impeaching a president who has created 7,000,000 jobs since taking office less than 3 years ago.

Ms. Pelosi’s Do-Nothing Democrats unanimously voted against the Trump-GOP tax cuts that have lit a fire under this economy. These Do-Nothing Democrats voted against eliminating the Obama administration’s regulations that would’ve killed the fossil fuel industry. In short, Pelosi’s Do-Nothing Democrats have stood in the way of pretty much every Trump administration plan that’s produced this prolific economy.

Thus far, the Trump administration’s record includes the lowest unemployment rate in half a century, the lowest black unemployment rate and the lowest Hispanic unemployment rate ever, the lowest unemployment rate for women since WWII, rising wages, improving workforce participation rate and soaring consumer confidence. That’s what Pelosi’s Do-Nothing Democrats voted against.

Getting lectured by Ms. Pelosi about “struggling” farmers and manufacturers is insulting. Ms. Pelosi’s focus on impeachment has prevented her from reaching yes on USMCA. She can complain all she wants about the 275 bills waiting for Senate action but that’s bad-faith whining. Why should we trust a caucus of Do-Nothing Democrat Socialists who voted against the policies that built this fantastic economy? This sums things up perfectly:

“What a contrast? A great economy, terrible politics.”

Pelosi’s Do-Nothing Democrats haven’t helped with anything. They’ve focused on impeachment, not the economy. They haven’t lifted a finger to close the asylum loopholes or the immigration system. The 275 bills are meaningless. It’s time for Democrats to focus on what’s important instead of focusing on appeasing their special interest base.

What do the shooters who killed people in Odessa, TX, El Paso, TX and Dayton, OH have in common? This isn’t difficult. I’m betting that we’d quickly agree that the 3 shooters are criminals. Considering that fact, isn’t it interesting that the Democrats’ first ‘solution’ is to violate law-abiding citizens’ civil rights?

Stop and think about that in those terms. If you wanted to lower crime, why would your first step be to restrict the civil rights of law-abiding citizens? That’s like a mechanic changing the oil and coolant when the customer told him that the car was having difficulty shifting from reverse to overdrive. In other words, it’s stupid to fix things that aren’t broken instead of fixing what’s broken.

Why wouldn’t Democrats fix the things that are broken rather than tinker with things that aren’t broken? They might if their highest priority was to fix things rather than to acquire power and check things off the Democrats’ ideological check list. The things that Democrats most want are checking items off their ideological checklist and obeying Resist Movement activists.

Most of the criminal gun violence is committed by handguns. Democrats, Republicans and Libertarians alike know this. They’ve known that for a generation or more. Why hasn’t Robert Francis O’Rourke insisted on a mandatory handgun confiscation program like he’s pushing his mandatory assault weapons confiscation plan?

O’Rourke won’t champion such a confiscation program because he knows that the fastest-growing group of people applying for conceal-carry permits are single moms. Taking the guns away from single moms that they use to protect their families is politically stupid. That’s why Robert Francis O’Rourke won’t propose such legislation. Neither will other Democrats.

Instead, it’s easier to propose confiscating scary-looking weapons like this:

The weapon above isn’t any more lethal than a semi-automatic rifle of the same caliber that doesn’t have a pistol grip. That’s just reality. Finally, the assault weapons ban didn’t have an appreciable affect on gun crime because the so-called assault weapons that were banned in the legislation didn’t exist by the time the legislation took effect.

The assault weapons ban outlawed specific brands and models. The minute that the legislation was signed outlawing those guns, the manufacturers changed the model number. Problem solved. As I wrote here, the Heller Decision held:

Miller’s holding that the sorts of weapons protected are those “in common use at the time” finds support in the historical tradition of prohibiting the carrying of dangerous and unusual weapons. Pp. 54–56. 3. The handgun ban and the trigger-lock requirement (as applied to self-defense) violate the Second Amendment. The District’s total ban on handgun possession in the home amounts to a prohibition on an entire class of “arms” that Americans overwhelmingly choose for the lawful purpose of self-defense.

The simple fact is that the Supreme Court has ruled on guns “in common use.” As long as a gun is commonly owned, Congress can’t confiscate it.

Anyone that thinks that Democrats don’t have a border security crisis isn’t paying attention. They definitely haven’t read Paul Bedard’s article about the crisis that Democrats refuse to fix.

Bedard’s article starts by saying “Calling the surprising May surge in illegal immigrant arrests on the border the “worst case scenario,” a top immigration analyst has boosted the expected level of crossings 10%, to over 1 million. U.S. Customs and Border Protection on Wednesday revealed that May apprehensions topped 144,000. This year has seen 676,315 apprehensions so far, up 99% over this time last year. That shocked immigration officials who had hoped it would drop in part due to the Trump administration’s get tough efforts on the border and the potentially deadly heat migrants encounter traveling through northern Mexico.”

Thus far, House Democrats haven’t lifted a finger to fix the immigration crisis. They’ve passed an immigration bill that will invite more illegal aliens to our borders but they haven’t passed a bill that’d fix the asylum crisis or the humanitarian crisis or the exploitation of young girl crisis.

Further, Democrat members of the Problem Solvers Caucus haven’t written a single piece of legislation that addresses these crises. If Democrat members of the Problem Solvers Caucus wont fix problems, then they’re worthless! They should be thrown out in large numbers in November, 2020.

By contrast, Sen. Lindsey Graham is working with President Trump to fix the problem. He’s written actual legislation that’d fix many of the problems. The chances that Democrats will work with Sen. Graham is virtually nonexistent. As long as the Resist Movement exists, then Democrats will be Democrats first, patriots only as a last resort.

Steven Kopits, the president of Princeton Policy Advisors which has predicted that immigrant apprehensions would reach 931,000 this year, expressed concern about the May numbers and boosted his prediction to 1,072,000. “This is the highest for the month of May since 2000 and the highest for any calendar month since March 2006,” he said in a report provided to Secrets. “We had expected a major surge heading into the summer months, but this is above our worst case scenario,” he added.

Today on Outnumbered, Harry Reid’s former spin-meister said that it’s finally time to have a conversation about this subject. Fuck that noise. (Pardon my French but this subject pisses me off on multiple levels.) The time for a leisurely conversation was a year ago. This time, it’s time for action:

Sen. Graham’s legislation will fix most, if not all, of the incentives that’ve precipitated this crisis. I’m betting that Democrat support for Sen. Graham’s legislation will be minimal, if that. Democrats are too obedient to the Resist activists to support Sen. Graham’s legislation. That’s because today’s Democrats are politicians first, patriots only rarely. What a sickening bunch.
