Nancy Pelosi’s double-down bet is rich with irony. Pelosi, one of the biggest liars this side of Adam Schiff, is instructing Joe Biden not to debate President Trump because Pelosi said that President Trump “and his ‘henchmen’ have no ‘fidelity’ to facts or the truth.”

This is a time-tested tactic of Ms. Pelosi’s. By saying this, she’s taking media attention away from her willingness to shaft blue collar employees and small business owners. President Trump wants a 4.0 version of COVID. Pelosi insists that President Trump spend $1,000,000,000,000 (that’s one trillion dollars) on bailing out public employee pension funds. These PEU pension funds have been virtually bankrupt for a generation.

The Pelosi faux diatribe also washes away (she hopes) the stories about Jerry Nadler packing the Supreme Court, AOC pushing for abolishing ICE and Chuck Schumer advocating for eliminating the legislative filibuster. Each of these initiatives would have difficulty hitting 20% approval with the public.

Then there’s Incoherent Joe’s difficulties:

Regardless of Pelosi’s tactics, Joe Biden is still Joe Biden. It’s possible that Biden doesn’t suffer any cognitive difficulties Tuesday night. Whether he does or doesn’t isn’t the important thing. The important thing for President Trump to do is remind all the different groups he’s helped of the things he’s helped with. With African-Americans, remind them of the First Step Act, funding for HBCUs, the Opportunity Zones tax cuts that are revitalizing blighted urban areas. Then highlight the Platinum Plan.

Much has been said thus far about Kamala Harris since she became Joe Biden’s running mate. The NYTimes insists that she’s a “pragmatic moderate.” That’s one of the most laughable statements the NYTimes has ever made. Former Clintonista George Stephanopoulos insists that “Kamala Harris comes from the middle of the road, moderate wing of the Democratic Party.” said Sen. Harris “ranked most liberal compared to all senators.”

Those statements and ratings perfectly fit Sen. Harris. Sen. Harris is a Democrat who is whoever she needs to be at that moment in time. When she took on Biden on bussing, she portrayed herself as an oppressed civil rights leader. When she announced that she favored Medicare-for-All in terms of health care, Harris identified herself as Bernie Sanders’ moderate sister. When she questioned Ron Vitiello during his confirmation hearing, she asked him “Are you aware of the perception of many about how the power and the discretion at ICE is being used to enforce the laws and do you see any parallels?” Check out this sickening video of Harris’s interrogation of Vitiello:

Implicit within Sen. Harris’s questioning is the insinuation that enforcing the immigration laws of this nation is just as evil as the KKK threatening African-Americans simply because of their skin color. This is as disgusting a display of bigotry as Jesse Jackson calling NYC Hymietown because of NYC’s large Jewish population.

One thing that’s certain about who Sen. Harris is is that she’s a lefty in terms of illegal immigration. Meghan McCain twisted Harris into a pretzel in this interview:

Harris: I am not for decriminalizing or not having any consequences … Let me just be really clear. We have to have a secure border but I am in favor of saying that we are not going to treat people who are not documented as criminals. That is correct.

BTW, Sen. Harris’s position on illegal immigration was shared by all 10 Democrats then vying for the Democrats’ presidential nomination:

Two things are noteworthy about this. First, it’s indisputable that decriminalizing illegal immigration and supplying illegal immigrants with taxpayer-funded health care are firmly within the mainstream of the Democratic Party. Next, it’s equally indisputable that most people outside the Democrat Party don’t agree with the Democrats’ position.

Therefore, the NYTimes is right in saying that Sen. Harris is “a pragmatic moderate” if the sole criteria for that is the unanimous position of the Democrats’ presidential candidates. It isn’t difficult to make the indisputable case, though, that the center of the Democrat Party is far outside the mainstream of American politics. Joe Biden adopted Bernie Sanders’ unity manifesto. For the past 2 election cycles, Bernie has campaigned on leading a revolution. Leading a revolution while being a moderate is a tricky thing to pull off.

If there’s anything that’s true about Kamala Harris, it’s that she’s whoever she needs to be whenever she needs to abandon her principals. This article highlights the fact that she isn’t a principled person:

Harris beefed up her #MeToo credentials later, making it clear she doesn’t just believe women accusing Republicans of sexual assault. All women had to be believed, including those who accused prominent Democrats. At a campaign event in Nevada in April 2019, Harris discussed the allegations against Biden, declaring of the accusers: “I believe them, and I respect them being able to tell their story and having the courage to do it.”

So Biden is an abuser — because women have accused him, and all women should be believed. Right?

So what has changed since then? Sexual assault and harassment are some of the most serious allegations that can be leveled against a man. Harris now needs to account for why she is comfortable joining an abuser’s 2020 ticket. This isn’t some debate-stage policy disagreement she can just walk back, claiming she has “evolved.”

Yesterday, Harris said that the case against President Trump is an open-and-shut case. The case against Sen. Harris’s authenticity is an open-and-shut case, too. That’s because Harris’s authenticity is the kind that can only be faked. Phony Kamala is the perfect nickname for her.

There’s no question whether Joe Biden maintained a reputation for decades as a centrist. That reputation isn’t withstanding the pressure of his latest presidential campaign. Byron York’s article highlights how the Democrats’ presumptive nominee is transforming from a centrist into a leftist.

York’s first example is Biden’s years-long defense of President Obama’s deportation of illegal aliens. In his article, York wrote “Biden has defended the Obama administration’s record on deportations against those on the left who criticized President Barack Obama as the ‘deporter in chief.’ Then came last month’s Nevada caucuses. After ugly losses in Iowa and New Hampshire, Biden was struggling for life in Nevada and trying to appeal to the Hispanic voters who made up a substantial portion of state Democrats. All of a sudden, Biden backtracked on the Obama deportations he used to defend. ‘There were too many,’ Biden told Univision’s Jorge Ramos. ‘I saw the pain in the eyes of so many people who saw their families being deported. I know what it’s like to lose family members. It was painful.'”

Biden’s immigration transformation didn’t stop there, though:

As the Nevada vote neared, Biden promised that if he became president he would not deport anyone, no one, under any circumstances, during his first 100 days in office. After that, Biden said he would deport only those who have committed felonies in the United States. Biden repeated the pledge at his recent debate with Sen. Bernie Sanders, his last remaining rival for the nomination.

Think about that, people. A Biden administration promises to not faithfully execute this nation’s laws. In this debate, Sleepy Joe and Crazy Bernie gave the same answer on whether local communities should turn over illegal immigrants to their administration:

It doesn’t get much more leftist for a Democrat than that. Joe Biden got the reputation of Blue Collar Joe for standing with coal miners, construction workers and blue collar families. Blue Collar Joe doesn’t exist. Here’s proof:

Biden’s centrist-to-leftist transformation is complete.

Let’s be clear about something regarding the thugs who shot at San Antonio’s ICE Facility. They aren’t protesters. They aren’t activists. They’re full-fledged domestic terrorists. Now the FBI is investigating the terrorist attack, as it should.

The people working in that building are federal employees, making it the feds’ jurisdiction. Obviously, I don’t know who fired the shots but it isn’t a stretch to think that the terrorists are affiliated with the Democratic Party. Democrats have said nothing about organizations like Antifa, #BlackLivesMatter and Indivisible. So-called protesters visited Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell’s home in Kentucky, where one of the terrorists said that she wished that someone would stab the motherf—-r in the heart:

Let’s hope that terrorist is arrested, tried, convicted and sent to prison. But that’s a different terrorist attack. Let’s return to the one in San Antonio. Here’s what we know at this point:

The FBI said Tuesday it is investigating after shots were fired in the early morning hours at a San Antonio office building that houses Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). No one was injured in the shooting, officials said.

Investigators say that around 3:00 a.m. Tuesday, shots were fired into a window of a U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement office and Removal Operations Field Office.

Later, a press conference was held:

The FBI special-agent-in-charge Christopher Combs called it a “targeted attack.” “To fire indiscriminately into any building especially a federal facility is not an act of protest- it’s an act of violence,” Combs said at a press conference. “And in in this case it’s an act of violence that could have resulted in the assassination of a federal employee. That cannot happen in San Antonio.”

Isn’t it interesting that this terrorist attack took place in San Antonio, the home of Joaquin Castro, the man who outed Trump supporters? Isn’t it interesting that twin brother Julian Castro, a politician who is running for president as a Democrat, thinks that illegal aliens shouldn’t be charged with a crime for illegally entering into the United States?

If Democrats keep ratcheting up the immigration rhetoric by saying that detention facilities are like Nazi concentration camps, the depravity level will drop further. If Democrats keep talking about ICE ripping families apart, the next attack against an ICE facility might include fatalities. At this point, Democrats appear to be in a race to the bottom of the depravity barrel.

How low can Democrats go? God help us with that. It’s a frightening though.

When it comes to analyzing election cycles, Newt Gingrich has excelled for more than a generation. When he writes an article that talks about a looming Trump landslide, I listen. Speaker Gingrich’s article cites 5 things that point to a Trump re-election landslide: “economy, stature, patriotism, issue insanity, and progress on health issues.” Speaker Gingrich starts with the booming economy.

Gingrich notes that the “lowest African American and Latino unemployment rates recorded in history are beginning to create approval for Trump in those communities that no Republican in modern times has been able to do. The rise in manufacturing jobs and salaries are becoming advantages for President Trump. Meanwhile, the Democrats are campaigning on the economy as though they were in another country. Faced with continuous job and wage growth, it is hard to make a compelling case against the Trump economy.”

Meanwhile, the Democrats’ presidential candidates campaign like we’re living in a country titled Soupline America. They don’t believe their own words. It’s just that they know that admitting that things are going pretty well pretty much dooms their campaigns while the leaders of the Resist Movement simmer as the Trump administration wins another fight. Gingrich notes that President Trump’s economy is the underpinning for everything else.

Issue insanity is beginning to erode the Democrats.

In 1972, McGovern was an outlier. He clearly represented the radical wing of the Democratic Party. It was relatively easy for most Democrats to say, “I am not him.” At the same time, President Nixon, scarred by losing in 1960 and 1962 and having won a very narrow election in 1968, kept Republican resources focused on his re-election and failed to help congressional Republicans. The result was the largest presidential popular vote percentage in modern history (60.7 percent) for the Republican president, while Republicans lost two Senate seats and only gained 12 house seats.

Today is dramatically worse for Democrats than in 1972. Instead of having one likable but wacky left-wing radical, every single candidate in the second debate raised his or her hand for positions that are simply unacceptable to most Americans. If McGovern could be separated out as “the radical” almost 50 years ago, look where we are today. Every plausible nominee has radical positions – and the House and Senate Democrats are voting for radical positions on issue after issue. Furthermore, President Trump has learned the cost of a left-wing Democratic Speaker and will be spending resources to help Kevin McCarthy of California become speaker.

AOC is everything except an official part of the Trump campaign. While she talks about concentration camps, Americans roll their eyes in disbelief. It isn’t that they think that everything is fine at these detention centers. It’s that they don’t believe Democrats’ claims of forcing women to drink from a toilet.

Further, the American people are looking at that situation while wondering why Democrats haven’t worked with President Trump to fix a truly broken immigration system. If there is divided government, the people expect the different parties to work together and fix things. While President Trump offers reasonable proposals, AOC proposes to get rid of ICE, then the Department of Homeland Security and Rashida Tlaib accuses CBP of major human rights violations.

I’ve said for several months that the biggest thing that Republicans have going for them is the Democrats’ nuttiness. It isn’t just that Democrats are wrong on the issues. It’s that they’re crazier than a shithouse rat. We know that Democrats are nuts when AOC accuses Nancy Pelosi of being a racist, then denies that she called the Democrat leader a racist several hours later.

Meanwhile, Democrats criticize the Trump administration for enforcing the laws:

Democrats have become the party that doesn’t believe in enforcing existing laws. To hear AOC talk about it, you’d swear that the people of law enforcement are Nazis. That’s pretty nuts. That’s why Democrats, if they don’t grow a spine and stand up to AOC’s Squad, will get their butts handed to them in November, 2020.

Ken Cuccinelli didn’t mince words when he was interviewed for CBS’s Face the Nation about upcoming ICE raids. According to the report, Cuccinelli said “ICE agents are ready to just perform their mission which is to go and find and detain and then deport the approximately one million people who have final removal orders.”

It’s worth noting that families aren’t separated. Instead, the entire family is subject to deportation. Also, Cuccinelli is the head of US Citizenship and Immigration Services, aka USCIS. Cuccinelli continued, saying:

“I’m just pointing out that the pool of those with final removal orders is enormous,” Cuccinelli said. “It’s important to note, here we are talking about ICE doing its job as if it’s special. And really this should be going on on a rolling basis for ICE and they’ve been interfered with, effectively, and held up by the politics of Washington to a certain extent.”

Nancy Pelosi, the chief lawmaker in the House, is doing her best to stop the laws she’s written from getting enforced:

Speaker Nancy Pelosi on Thursday offered advice to illegal immigrants seeking to avoid arrest and deportation by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers. “An ICE deportation warrant is not the same as a search warrant. If that is the only document ICE brings to a home raid, agents do not have the legal right to enter a home. If ICE agents don’t have a warrant signed by a judge, a person may refuse to open the door and let them in,” said Pelosi, reading from prepared remarks at her weekly press conference.

Last night, I spoke with Agnes Gibboney. Agnes is an Angel Mom living in California. Last night, she told me this about Pelosi:

Gee. Now that’s a shocker. A weasel weaseling out of a meeting with a hurting mom. How affectionate, especially from someone who criticized President Trump for ripping families apart. Pelosi’s sanctuary city laws have gotten people killed, aka eternal family separation. The next time I hear Pelosi complaining on that subject, I hope someone shoves Kate Steinle’s death in Pelosi’s mouth.

The other thing that the MSM should, but won’t, do is ask her why she’s criticizing law enforcement for enforcing the laws she’s played a major part in passing. Does she think laws are meant to be written, not enforced?

This article is good news in the sense that things are improving. It’s also proof that we shouldn’t get too giddy just yet because, while there’s been significant improvement, there’s still plenty of need for improvement in the coming months.

According to CBS’s reporting, “U.S. authorities apprehended more than 94,000 migrants in between ports of entry along the southern border, a precipitous drop from May, when more than 132,000 people, including about 84,000 families and over 11,000 unaccompanied minors, were apprehended. The total number of apprehensions that month was a 13-year high.”

Apparently, Mexico’s help has dropped illegal crossings. That’s proof that President Trump’s threatened tariffs helped break the logjam with Mexico. Without that tactic, it’s doubtful that Mexico would’ve agreed to helping us as much as they’ve helped thus far. Still, monitoring the situation is imperative. Despite these attempts to shut the border off, Democrats don’t want the laws enforced:

Beyond that, Pelosi is giving illegal immigrants advice on how to avoid ICE:

Speaker Nancy Pelosi on Thursday offered advice to illegal immigrants seeking to avoid arrest and deportation by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers. “An ICE deportation warrant is not the same as a search warrant. If that is the only document ICE brings to a home raid, agents do not have the legal right to enter a home. If ICE agents don’t have a warrant signed by a judge, a person may refuse to open the door and let them in,” said Pelosi, reading from prepared remarks at her weekly press conference.

These raids will be on people who’ve sought asylum, have had their day in court and had their applications rejected. These won’t be random raids in neighborhoods where illegal aliens congregate. These are people who applied for asylum and were rejected through impartial courts.

Matt Gaetz took Democrats to the woodshed on the Democrats’ denial that there was a border crisis:

Josh Kraushaar’s article highlights an old acronym I learned years decades ago. The applicable acronym is GIGO. GIGO stands for Garbage In, Garbage Out. It fits Mr. Kraushaar’s article perfectly.

Specifically, Kraushaar’s article states “President Trump is stuck on 259 electoral votes, and his campaign is trying to scheme any way possible to get him back to a majority. That’s the takeaway from a new Politico story outlining the Trump campaign’s intent to target three Democratic-leaning states—New Hampshire, New Mexico, and Nevada—as part of its battleground state strategy.”

Relying on anything Politico pumps out is foolish. First, this analysis relies on President Trump losing Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania. The odds of that happening aren’t high. Winning Michigan alone puts Trump over the top. It seems likely that Trump will do that. Because he’s fought hard to bring manufacturing jobs back to Michigan, blue collar voters are overwhelmingly supporting Trump.

Assuming that Trump will lose all three ‘Blue Wall’ states is foolish. The blue collar workers will turn out in just as big of numbers in 2020 as they did in 2016. Trump kept his promises to them. Further, the choice will come down to either keeping in place the policies that are currently producing fantastic economic growth or reverting back to the policies of the previous 8 years, when industries were hurt and economic growth was pathetic.

There aren’t enough stupid people who will vote to wreck this great economy. And let there be no doubt. If a Democrat is elected president in 2020, this fantastic economy will be as good as dead.

That’s before we start talking about the Democrats’ position on immigration. Despite some Democrats’ claim that they’re interested in border security, it’s obvious that they aren’t. If Democrats were serious about border security, we wouldn’t have had 144,000 apprehensions along the border in May. If anyone thinks that President Trump will get hurt electorally for his immigration policies, they aren’t paying attention.

There’s no doubt that President Trump will highlight the Democrats’ position of doing nothing to secure the border. Democrats will protest but anyone with half a brain knows that Democrats haven’t written a single piece of legislation that fixes this crisis. And make no mistake about whether it’s a crisis.

Let’s talk to an expert (rather than a windbag politician) about this. Here’s what John Sanders said about the situation:

“We are in a full-blown emergency, and I cannot say this stronger: the system is broken,” said acting CBP Commissioner John Sanders. Sanders said his agency has detained more than 680,000 border-crossers in the past eight months, noting that the total is “more than the population of Miami.”

This statement from US Customs & Border Protection is must reading, especially for windbag politicians. If Democrats that’re serving on the House Problem Solvers Caucus don’t take this seriously, they’ll be one-term wonders and Nancy Pelosi won’t even be the Minority Leader anymore.

Just when I didn’t think Democrats couldn’t get nuttier, they prove me wrong. This time, Sen. Kamala Harris, (D-Calif.), showed her nuts-beyond-belief credentials while questioning Ronald D. Vitiello, who is President Trump’s nominee to become the permanent ICE director.

Here’s the exchange between Sen. Harris and Director Vitiello:

Minutes later Ms. Harris, a California Democrat who’s eyeing a 2020 presidential bid, said there are “many” people who perceive ICE officers as similar to KKK thugs in using violence and intimidation. “I’m very specific about what I’m asking,” she said. “Are you aware that there’s a perception that ICE is administering its power in a way that is causing fear and intimidation particularly among immigrants and specifically among immigrants coming from Mexico and Central America?”

“I see no perception that puts ICE in the same category as the KKK,” Mr. Vitiello retorted.

What type of grandstanding jackass thinks that ICE and the KKK are perceived the same way? This isn’t a serious interrogation because ICE is nothing like the KKK. First, the KKK tried striking fear in the hearts of minorities because they wanted the US to stay segregated. Next, the KKK hated the people that they intimidated. They thought that African-Americans were subhuman, which gave the KKK permission to torment them. Finally, the KKK intimidated African-Americans while breaking the law and while hiding their identities.

ICE enforces the law. They don’t hate illegal aliens and they certainly don’t hide their identities. Other than that, they’re nothing like the KKK.

Sen. Harris is disgusting. She’s grandstanding and she knows it. She’s trying to stand out from the other nobodies running for the Democrat presidential nomination.

The Democrats have a major problem brewing that really can’t be fixed. Thanks to their divisions, Democrats are fighting over immigration. A significant percentage of Democrats openly want open borders. Another significant percentage are fine with open borders but don’t want to talk about it during the campaign. There’s a tiny fraction of Democrats that are actually sane who want the borders enforced. Doug Schoen is a patriotic member of that tiny fraction. In this op-ed, Schoen makes the argument that advocating for open borders will eliminate opportunities for Democrats.

Specifically, he wrote “Not only is Ellison’s statement in itself completely detached from reality, but it seems to suggest that if we cannot have wide open borders, then we must not have free trade at all. These remarks come just weeks after Ellison wore a T-shirt which read ‘yo no creo en fronteras,’ which in English translates into ‘I do not believe in borders.'”

What’s stunning about that t-shirt is that it gives context to his run for Minnesota’s state Attorney General’s office. It’s clear that Ellison will fight law enforcement (through the courts) whose responsibility it is to protect us from drug cartels, gangs like MS-13 and sex and human traffickers. It’s apparent that his only is to pad DFL voter lists. If he has to ignore the law, he’s shown that he’s willing to do that without hesitation.

Further, Ellison has a history of defending cop-killers in the court of public opinion. He did that with convicted cop-killer Assata Shakur, aka Joanne Chesimard, and with Kathleen Soliah. But I digress.

Concerningly, Ellison’s brash statement on immigration is not far out of line with the Democratic Party as a whole. In fact, a Harvard Harris poll from June states that a striking 36 percent of Democrats support “basically open borders”—an inflammatory policy dangerously out of line with mainstream thinking.

Then there’s this:

With the midterms slowly approaching, regaining the support of Independents and moderate Republicans will be key for Democrats in their fight to take back the House. However, light of contentious issues such as immigration where the party has moved further left than ever before, this will be an increasingly difficult demographic for Democrats to appeal to in November. According to a July Gallup poll, immigration is one of the most important issues for Americans heading into the midterm elections, with 22 percent of respondents saying it was the nation’s most important problem.

The Democrats lead in the generic ballot polling but I don’t think it’s a sturdy lead. That’s because I think the Republicans’ closing arguments will devastate Democrats this fall.

Part of the Republicans’ closing arguments should be this insane blathering from Nancy Pelosi:

Saying that Democrats are better at border security is stupid beyond belief. Republicans should also use this interview of Thomas Homan, the retired acting director of ICE, by Harris Faulkner:

When Homan said that the judge ordered the government to stop doing DNA testing because the ACLU filed a lawsuit on the issue, my heart broke. Homan said that “5%-7% of the kids” weren’t a match with the people who claimed to be their parents. Homan then hinted that this judge might’ve just given these kids to sex traffickers.

If Nancy Pelosi wants to have that fight, Republicans should welcome that fight. Thoughtful people don’t release kids to sex traffickers.
